Do you know of a student, faculty, or staff member that has made an impact on GCSU's campus for the LGBTQ+ community? Nominate them for the LGBTQ+ Student Leader of the Year Award or Faculty and Staff LGBTQ+ Community Impact Award! Nomination form will close on Tuesday, April 23rd at noon. Award recipients will be announced at our 2024 Lavender Graduation on April 26th.

It's almost time for the HUB's annual Friendsgiving dinner! Join all of us on Sunday, 11/19 at 3 p.m. for food and welcoming community. RSVPs through GC Connect are requested to help us with planning, and bringing a dish to contribute is appreciated but not required!

🏳️‍🌈✨ On this National Coming Out Day, we celebrate the courage and resilience of the LGBTQ+ community. October 11th marks a day of both reflection and empowerment, rooted in the historic March on Washington for Le***an and Gay Rights held in 1987.

Coming out is a deeply personal journey, one that not everyone can embark upon. Your identity is yours to define, and your worth is immeasurable, regardless of your visibility. To those who have bravely shared their truth, you inspire us all. To those who cannot or choose not to come out, we see you, we support you, and you are loved unconditionally. 🌈

There are many opportunities to celebrate with us today - stop by our table at A&S from 10-2 to get a picture with the Big Gay Door, chat with folks at Times Talk at noon in the Library ( #241), and end with the Come Out Cookout at 5:30 in Central City Park!

This October, celebrate LGBTQ+ history month with LGBTQ+ Programs! Find joy and pride in shared community at the Come Out Cookout, Trivia Night, and our other events!

We are saddened to hear of the passing of the incredible Tangerine Summers, a Macon area Drag Queen and trailblazer who has been performing for over 50 years in the Central Georgia Community. Thank you for sharing your light with us. We'll miss you here in Milledgeville - rest easy.
