Baldwin High School Football Cheerleaders

Ke’Nyah Butts is a four year veteran and a three year captain. She plans on attending FAMU to major in nursing and minor in sonography. Her favorite quote is “God is within her, she will not fail; Gos will help her at break of day.” KeNyah is as fierce as she is beautiful. Never taking no for an answer. She is passionate about anything she does and works hard to perfect it. As a captain she goes out of her way to make sure her team is ready and prepared every Friday. Whether it’s posting videos or offering encouragement KeNyah always pushes her teammates as she pushes herself. The shoes she leaves behind will be hard to fill. She came, she saw, and she shut it down!

Mariah Burney is a four year veteran and four year captain. After graduating Mariah plans on attending college to major in Biology and Cosmetic Science. Her ultimate goal is to become a Cosmetic Dermatologist. Mariah’s favorite quote is”work hard, stay humble,and let success make the noise. Confidence isn’t about being better than anyone, it’s knowing you don’t have to compare. Although Mariah is soft-spoken her energy and personality is a force to be reckoned with. She has been a captain every year since her JV year and she always brings new material and creativity to the table. Her impact on the team is seen without doubt. Beauty and brains is an understatement.

Lyric Stanley is a three year veteran and a one year captain. After graduating Lyric is planning on majoring in Psychology. Her favorite quote is “it’s not a lost. It’s just a lesson and a story to tell.” Words truly seen in how she lives her life. Lyric consistently works to not only better herself, but she also works to better those around her. As a captain she is compassionate but firm. Her standards never waiver and her teammates respect her for it. The world better, make way and make room. Once Lyric comes through the world will never be the same.

Chanel Evans is a three cheerleader and a first-year captain. After graduating Chanel plans on going to a university and majoring in nursing. Her favorite quote is “nothing can dim the light from within.” Chanel’s light definitely cannot be dimmed. Her energy is unmatched and she always challenges herself to out perform herself. Her creative energy will be missed. As a captain she always knows how to bring out the best in people. There is definitely no replacing our Showstopper, because no one can do it like her.

Jayla Jordan has been on the BHS cheer team for three years. Jayla plans on attending CGTC to become an ultrasound technician. Jayla’s favorite quote is Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s impossible. You can do it. Jayla is the epitome of hard-work and dedication. Her positive attitude shines through whatever she does. Her goofy demeanor will be missed, but we also miss her encouraging words she gives to her team when they feel defeated. She is definitely “making her momma proud” Go Jay!

Kanzee Simmons is a three year veteran on the BHS cheer team. She plans on attending Kennesaw State University to receive a degree in Nursing, then she is off to travel the world. Her favorite quote is “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” Her resilience is one that is to be commended because she is always working to be a better student, cheerleader, and person in general. The growth this young lady has shown is astounding and we will miss her. Kanzee’s random comments and light hearted jokes will be missed by her team!

Tocara Napier is a three year veteran of the BHS Varsity Cheer Team. Tocara plans on attending Mercer University in Sociology. Tocara’s favorite quote is “nobody can intimidate you if they are not in your view. Ignoring them gets you farther than you think.” Tocara’s sharp wit and quick remarks keeps their team on their toes and the spirits high. The team will miss her sense of humor the most. The world should watch for “Big C”!

Aniyah Bostick is a first year cheerleader, she did not come to play. She plans on attending Clark Atlanta to major in Criminal Justice. Her favorite quote is, “the harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.” This is easily seen through Aniyah’s work ethic. When she sets her mind to it there is no stopping her. Aniyah has only been with us for a year, but her impact on the team in immeasurable! Go NiNi !

Senior night has come and gone, but they will always be "Jackson's headaches". Don't let the nickname fool you though. These are some of the most brilliant, creative, generous, and loving girls l've ever had the pleasure of coaching. Baldwin Cheer program is better because of all of them.
Seeing them enter into these last milestones of their high school career means more than I could ever say. The challenges we faced this year were truly one of a kind but yall never gave up and whe the going got tough yall showed me true heart, and that's all I could ever ask for as a coach!
Here's to the class of 2026. Not just my headaches but my blessings as well!
