At the first World Cultures Fest at Georgia College & State University, students brought language and culture to life through performance—thanks in part to the guidance of the Theatre Department’s Dr. Amy Pinney.

Dr. Pinney and her directing students worked alongside French-language students in Dr. Fraunhofer’s French Drama class to develop physical acting techniques, helping prepare a scene performance that showcased the power of theatre collaboration across disciplines. This partnership highlights how theatre training strengthens creativity, confidence, and communication—no matter the major
