On Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting Graduate Orientation for our incoming Fall 2026 graduate students! It was a wonderful opportunity to welcome our newest graduate students, connect with them, and share important resources and information to help them begin their academic journey with confidence.

Thank you to the City of Savannah, Georgia and Dr. Jennifer Blalock, Officer, Organizational Development, for partnering with us for a Graduate & Professional Pop-Up Campus! In collaboration with the School of Continuing & Professional Studies, we had the opportunity to bring GCSU graduate programs, continuing education offerings, and our mobile health unit directly to the City of Savannah government employees at the Floyd Adams Jr. City Services Center.

We appreciate the City of Savannah's commitment to investing in employee growth, leadership development, and well-being. Partnerships like these help us extend the impact of our graduate and continuing education program beyond campus and across Georgia. Go Bobcats!

🎓Today, we proudly celebrate the accomplishments of our students at one of two commencement ceremonies. Earning a graduate degree requires dedication, resilience, intellectual curiosity, and countless hours of hard work. Our graduates have balanced research, professional responsibilities, and personal commitments while pursuing academic excellence, and today, we honor all they have achieved.

🔔 Exciting News! We are proud to announce our new graduate degree program, Master of Science in AI Strategy.

This innovative program is designed to equip individuals from any background with skills to harness the power of emerging technology in any business or industry. Designed for working professionals, the 30 credit hour program is offered fully online and can be completed in one year on a full-time enrollment plan. The program also offers optional in-person experiences and study abroad opportunities. This program launches in fall 2026.

The Office of Graduate Admissions had a fantastic New Graduate Student Orientation this past weekend. With over 100 new graduate students in attendance, the incoming students got a high energy and engaging introduction to the GCSU community. They connected with campus services and graduate faculty across accounting, athletic training, education, and nursing–getting a strong start on their academic journey with us. We're excited to see all they'll accomplish this year!

We kicked off Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week with a fantastic drop-in breakfast for our graduate students! It was great to see so many graduate student faces, including Dr. Kerry Evans, Graduate Coordinator, Creative Writing, starting the day with great breakfast food, conversation, and community.

A special shout out to our Graduate Assistant, Jonathan (MAcc), who helped serve up a great bite to get everyone going and start the day of right! We're excited for the rest of the week ahead!
