It was a great day celebrating the people who keep Georgia Military College running strong.

Faculty and staff gathered for Employee Appreciation Day to enjoy food trucks, music, games, and time together outside the office. From friendly rounds of co****le to great conversations under the trees, it was a well-deserved opportunity to relax and enjoy the community that makes GMC so special.

Moments like these remind us that behind every successful student and program are dedicated people working every day to make a difference. We are grateful for the incredible faculty and staff who make Georgia Military College such a special place.

GMC Day at the Capitol continues to be a highlight each year, and we were honored to host our third annual visit under the Gold Dome. The day provided a powerful opportunity to connect with state leaders and spotlight the many ways Georgia Military College opens doors for students across our state.

Cadets and members of our leadership team met with legislators to share our mission and strengthen relationships that support student success. Our 8th-grade students also experienced the Capitol in action, making the trip both educational and inspiring.

Thank you to all who joined us for your support and to everyone who helped make this day meaningful for our students and institution. We’re proud to represent GMC and its impact across Georgia.

We were honored to welcome U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter to Georgia Military College’s Main Campus in Milledgeville for a visit last week. Congressman Carter toured campus, spent time with our students, and stopped by a Tiger Team feedback session shaping GMC’s strategic planning efforts. We’re grateful for his continued service and contributions to our state—and for taking time to see the impact of GMC firsthand.

Today we celebrate a symbol that means so much to Georgia Military College, our Unit Crest. 🇺🇸

Approved by the U.S. Army’s Institute of Heraldry on February 7, 1964, our Unit Crest turns 62 years old today. Each element tells a story of our history, values, and mission. We hope you enjoy this special look at the meaning behind the Unit Crest that unites generations of Bulldogs.

GMC Junior College Faculty and Staff spent today learning during Faculty Professional Learning with renowned author and AAC&U Vice President for Digital Innovation, Dr. C. Edward Watson.

Dr. Watson led a thought-provoking conversation on artificial intelligence— what it is, how rapidly it’s reshaping our world, and the important role it will play in the future of teaching and learning. Faculty explored both the opportunities and challenges AI presents in the classroom and how it can be used to enhance student engagement, critical thinking, and academic success.

Experiences like this ensure GMC educators continue to stay innovative, informed, and committed to providing students with a forward-focused, high-quality education.
