The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Georgia College and State University just concluded its first annual Venture Capital Challenge! Many thanks to the judges, Tanya Goette, Joe Peters, Hasitha Mahabaduge and Denny (Dennis) Walton!
The competition was stiff, with a 3 point difference between first and second place and a host of great business ideas that make clear Georgia College & State University has some of the nation’s best minds in our student body! The winners of the competition are as follows:
First place, with a prize of $400: Gavin Incrocci, who presented on an AI backed app designed to find where you can buy an item of apparel or watch you loved when you saw it in person or on TV!
Second place, with a prize of $200: Trey McCallum, for his idea on TV extenders to give you more screens for your home viewing pleasure (especially when you have kids or several games on at once during March Madness!)
Last but not least, the most innovative award, with a $100 prize goes to Joel Saucedo, for his idea on how to help create low radiation medical equipment.
