Building tomorrow's business leaders starts today. 💼

Students from Stanhope Elmore High School and Millbrook Middle School were recognized during the July 21 Elmore County Board of Education meeting for their outstanding achievements in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), an organization that prepares students for careers in business, leadership and entrepreneurship through academic competition and professional development.

Students recognized from Stanhope Elmore High School included Dylan Chavez Castillo, Lindsey Tran, Lyam Pugh and Amendo Lewis, while Analise Weeks represented Millbrook Middle School. Each student earned top honors at the state level.

Dylan Chavez Castillo is the Alabama FBLA District 5 vice president and captured a first-place finish at the state competition. Lindsey Tran also earned first place, while Lyam Pugh and Amendo Lewis each placed fourth. Representing Millbrook Middle School, Analise Weeks brought home a second-place finish at the state competition.

Director of the Elmore County Technical Center Emilie Johnson praised the students for the countless hours they dedicate outside of school, noting they aren't earning grades or extra credit for these projects. Instead, they're driven by a passion for learning, leadership and preparing for future careers.
