Academy Days Co-Op School made an amazing donation to Welcome of 170 pounds of food to the Pantry last week!

A smaller group than usual helped deliver the 170 lbs of canned food collected at orientation to the Millbrook food bank, but we were no less grateful for the hands involved or the incredible impact made!

Take science labs out of your kitchen, and have someone with more experience and skill correct that essay or discuss literature or history. Engage your child with something new, such as Photography gr. 7-12, DIY Homesteading gr. 7-12, American Sign Language gr. 7-12, Survival Skills gr. 4-6, or LEGO Builders gr. 1-4.

Academy Days Co-op offers core subjects and fun electives for preschool through high school on Tuesdays at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Holtville/Slapout this fall.

Spaces are also available in preschool and kindergarten for younger siblings of enrolled students.

All of the co-op teachers are fellow homeschooling parents with a degree, work experience, special knowledge, or passion for the subjects they teach. However, we (as parents) stay in control of our own children’s education.

Real kids, real smiles! Academy Days Co-op commemorates 20 years of serving the homeschooling community with the 7th through 12th graders forming a big 20 and all the families celebrating with cake and cupcakes.

Started in Fall 2006 with 24 classes, Academy Days Co-op still meets weekly during the school year for homeschoolers in preschool through high school and now offers 49 classes in subjects such as science labs, literature, foreign languages, history and P.E.

In addition to core subjects, classes in the upcoming school year include such unique subjects as photography, survival skills, homesteading, sign language, health and nutrition, essay writing, personal finance, and study skills for high school and college.

Starting Fall 2026, the co-op will meet at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Slapout/Holtville on Tuesdays. Visit AcademyDays.com for more information.

Academy Days Co-op celebrates 20 years of serving the homeschooling community with 20 students, comprising some of our longest-serving members (Bullock, Lynch, Hand, Garrett, Garner, Pope) and newest families (Walker, Thompson, Curry, Luster, Jenkins, Turner).

We marked the milestone with a large cake and cupcakes for everyone.

As it has since the beginning, Academy Days Co-op meets weekly during the school year for homeschoolers in preschool through high school to take classes in core subjects such as science labs, literature, foreign languages, history and P.E as well as unique subjects such as sign language, survival skills, homesteading and photography.

Started in Fall 2006 at Cain’s Chapel UMC in Slapout/Holtville, the co-op weathered the quarantine with virtual classes and then moved to Montgomery in 2021 to resume meeting in person.

For Fall 2026, the co-op returns close to its roots, but this time at Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Slapout/Holtville on Tuesdays.
