Mill Valley Pottery Studio The studio offers ceramics and pottery classes, workshops, events, and private parties for adults and children in a wonderful well-lit, garden setting.

Mill Valley Potter's Studio was founded by Jennie Dito, a local ceramic enthusiast. The studio was created to bring local artists together and provide a place for the community to "Explore your creative side with clay." We specialize in teaching the ceramic arts to adults and children. Techniques include pottery on the wheel, sculpting, pinching, coiling, hand-building, glazing and a variety firing methods.

Meet Lauren Vrovas, MVPS Member! And swipe to see just a small sampling of her work.

“I first gave pottery a try my freshman year at Redwood High School, & stuck with it all four years. After a long break, I picked it back up again in 2021.

I find inspiration everywhere! I’m really drawn to the tension between both structure & organic shapes/patterns.

The community at MVPS is the best. Everyone is so warm & welcoming. No matter when you walk in, there’s always a friendly face. We’ve become a community even outside the pottery studio which has been so amazing.

I’ll be selling some pottery at a block party/yard sale in Valley Circle, Mill Valley on August 22, from 9-2pm!

Connect with others in a fun and educational environment while you play with clay! Deepen your understanding and expand your skills in a 5 or 6 week course at MVPS.*

Beginners are welcome, and our instructors can support through an intermediate level, with options for advanced students, too.

Whether you’re interested in working on the wheel or hand building off of the wheel, there’s something for everyone.

Once you’re comfortable with what you’ve learned in courses, membership becomes an option, so there’s always a place for you in our community.^

*Most of our courses are 6 weeks, with 2, 5-week courses over the summer!

Youth Summer Clay Club is a great, flexible option as well.

^Memberships are also available to experienced potters.
