Focus our northern California sketch comedy workshop:
This kind of comedy theatre began at The Second City in Chicago.
Many graduates went on to be featured players on NBC-TV's "Saturday Night Live."
This, before getting their own TV series and/or becoming movie stars.
Locally, San Francisco had The Committee in North Beach.
In Sonoma County, Jim lead his own group, the "REP R***e" which put on 65 performances in 1977-1978 throughout northern California.
This workshop will follow the same pattern.
We will begin with theatre games, a.k.a. short form improv.
Then, quickly graduate to longer form improv, using scenario improvisations under Jim's guidance.
Finally, students will create their own funny sketches.
Class ends with a graduation performance.
Best skits might be showcased at future Comedy Marathon Contests.

And/or we might eventually have a long enough show to go on tour.
Tour?
Let our 2015 Comedy Marathon Contest Run-Off Winner describe that experience.
Why?
Craig Thomas was also a cast member of the "REP R***e" back in the day.
All this and more could happen to you, too, if . . .!
