Like monks meditating in caves for the wellbeing of all beings, we practice our erotic devotion for the same reason.

Not for ourselves alone, but as offering.
As prayer.
As stabilizing force.

When we awaken our creative energy and circulate it through our bodies with reverence, we're not escaping the world's pain — we're anchoring beauty, pleasure, gratitude, and stability into the collective field.

We're creating a vortex that says: yes, there is chaos, and yes, there is also this — aliveness, joy, sacred connection.

The world doesn't need more urgency right now. It needs your grounded pleasure.

I've seen so many practitioners end up spiritually homeless — fluent in more than one language, but without a room where all of her is speaking at once.

 

If that's familiar, I want you to know: that's not a flaw in your practice. It's a sign you're looking for something specific — a place where the erotic and the Divine aren't kept in separate rooms, but are understood as the same current.

There's a thread of er*ticism that permeates the core of our being

There's a breath of aliveness that's available to us till we die

There's a blueprint of bliss that is meant to remind us of our divinity.

Mothers, particularly the new ones, tend to suppress that experience in profound ways

It's like the identities of Mother and Erotic Person can't co-exist.

Now, the removal of sensuality and eroticism from the Mother identity is as old as Mother Mary and this idea that she's a virgin (in the s*xual sense of the word)

Silly!
Intentional!
Political!

So, here we are, still grappling with what it means to be a mom while also being an erotic person.

There's work to be done on this
Lots of work!

A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of bringing this conversation, and somatic exploration, into a room full of moms and their little ones in the Mother Rising event.

I shared the argument,
The political importance of reclaiming the erotic as power

Then we dropped into the body
Used our breath, movement, sounding and energy activation to find the thread of Eros in us

We reconnected with it
Expanded it to give a little more space to our erotic identity
We felt it as a thread of Divinity in us.

And then, we opened our eyes

Saw each other inhabiting the Erotic Mother archetype again

While our little ones beared witness to the beauty and naturality in that.

What joy to do this work with these women.
What a privilege.
What an honor!

WHY?

Patriarchy
Ultra-conservatism and tradwives
Manosphere and the Epstein class
A trillionaire in a world where children die of famine.

ALSO

The deep sense of isolation in a time so obsessed with material science
The recurring second-guessing of our experience of the Divine
The fear of sounding mad, or lunatic, or naive, or, or, or.

We need each other as mirrors
As an oasis of intrinsic knowing and authentic validation
We need to gather so we can bring the magic back to the light of day

We must be part of the energetic architecture of the emerging Earth.

We must, my loves. We do!

I've been on my spiritual quest since I was a little girl
Growing up with a yogini mom
Praying with Catholic grandmothers
Afraid of the spirits I sensed everywhere, even when I showered
Immersed in my Afro-Brazilian culture that invites Spirit to party
Meeting the Goddess through full-bodied Bliss.

I could not not be a Mystic
I could not not weave the thread of Erotic into my spiritual practice
I could not not guide hundreds (thousands, really) of people to find Goddess in their ecstasy.

I could not not create MYSTIQUE.

I know, this Retreat is a bold invitation

This land has been holding ceremony long before we arrive.

It sits on the ancestral territory of the Tabahtea people, tended now under regenerative stewardship by those who understand what it means to care for something sacred.
