Congratulations to Ms. Culbreth who recently had her Donors Choose project "Eco-Architects: BuildGreen" funded by generous donors! This project provides Ms. Culbreth's 2nd grade class with a 3D printer. The project will allow students to integrate multiple academic subjects, including Earth Science, Social Studies, and ELA. as well as art and STEAM to design and create their own greenhouse. According to Ms. Culbreth's project description "students [will] become eco-designers by planning, drawing, labeling, and writing about a sustainable house or garden...exploring and explaining how natural resources (like solar energy and water) can power our world." This will provide an amazing learning opportunity for our students! Thank you to all of those who supported our students in their learning!

❤️🫀 Learning Comes to Life in Mrs. Womick’s 4th Grade Class! 🫀❤️

As a culminating activity for our reading of The Circulatory Story, Mrs. Womick’s 4th graders got hands-on as they dissected sheep hearts! 🐑🔬 Students had the opportunity to explore the heart’s structures, identify its parts, and make connections between what they read and how the circulatory system works.

This exciting experience brought our reading to life and allowed students to become scientists as they explored, observed, and learned about one of the most important organs in the human body. What a memorable way to connect literacy, science, and hands-on learning! ❤️🧠🫀

We had a blast with math at our Title 1 Math Event on Tuesday night. Each grade level hosted a math activity that families could work on together. We saw lots of families and friends having fun together while learning new math skills. We also appreciate the local support from our county office and school board for coming out and participating as well.

We want to say a huge thank you to our families for coming and attending our event. We had a great turnout and we appreciate everyone taking part in our activities.

This event was sponsored by our PEAK After School and Title 1 teams. We want to say a huge shout out to everyone who helped make the night a great success!
