■Fundraising -- assist with the PTA annual school fundraising in the Fall and/or restaurant dine-outs (throughout the year). The Fall fundraiser is the primary source of PTA income to fund our many curriculum enhancing activities.
■Staff Appreciation – this group plans and coordinates eve

nts such as lunches and small appreciation gifts for the school staff throughout the year. This is a creative and fun way to get involved at the school.
■Book Fair – volunteers will be needed to assist with staffing the book fair. This event will be held twice yearly.
■Socials/Dances (ASB) – assist by organizing snack sales and providing supervision at Socials/Dances (twice per year; 1 in Fall & 1 in February).
■Programs – assist with events and programs sponsored by the PTA and brought into the school for students throughout the year.
■Eighth Grade Party – a fun event for eighth grade students as they prepare to depart Heatherwood – an evening toward the end of the school year.
■Eighth Grade Celebration – a ceremony and reception for eighth grade students and their families, representing the culmination of their 3 years at Heatherwood – an evening toward the end of the school year.

The Heatherwood PTA is looking for 3 volunteers to complete our annual financial review. The review consists of a simple checklist and takes 20-30 minutes to complete. No accounting experience needed, and the review is completed at your convenience!

Dear Heatherwood Middle School Community,

As another great school year comes to a close, the Heatherwood Middle School PTA would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every student, family, teacher, and staff member who has helped make this year such a success. Your collective willingness to donate your time, talent, and resources have allowed us to accomplish many amazing things this school year. We could not have done it without all of you! A few highlights from the year include.....

- Funded Teacher Grants: We awarded nearly $3,000 in grants to support our educators with additional resources to enhance classroom learning and student experiences.
- Treat ThursYAY: We brought joy and encouragement to our students with fun treats throughout the year.
- Staff Appreciation Events: We kicked off the year with a welcome-back breakfast and celebrated the dedication of our amazing teachers and staff with appreciation treats throughout the year
- Book Fair: We encouraged a love of reading while raising over $800 to support our school library.
- Advocacy Resources: We provided tools and information to help our community stay informed and engaged in educational policy and decision-making, resulting in the passing of a bond and levy.
- Reflections Art Contest: We supported student creativity through the PTA Reflections Art program, increasing the number of students who participated this year. Multiple winners were recognized at the local, state, and even national levels—an achievement we are incredibly proud of!
- 8th Grade Celebration: We capped off the year with a memorable event for our graduating class, honoring their hard work and wishing them well on their journey to high school.

We are grateful for our strong Heatherwood community. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference and helps us continue our mission of supporting students and staff while enriching the educational environment for all.

Thank you for making this school year one to remember. We look forward to continuing our work together next year!
