🎼🎶 One of my favorite traditions every December was the final piece at our winter concerts at Lynnwood and Jackson high schools when I taught there for the last 30 years. 🥰

🎄All of my current students plus lots of alums would show up every year and we surrounded the audience as everyone sang or played Christmas Festival. 🎺🎷🥁

At my age, the only wrapping I should be doing this time of the year is wrapping gifts. 🎁

But it’s 2020 - and here I am at the age of 55 making my rapping debut for my students! 😳

We just finished a month-long study of Hamilton, so this seemed appropriate.

Most of them had their cameras on when I played the video and their faces were priceless. 🥰
It was worth risking my dignity to see all the smiles and laughter.

I’m going to be retiring in June and I want to put together a concert full of all-time favorite music using suggestions from former students as a way to connect all of “my kids” for the past 32 years I’ve been teaching. 🎼🎶💞👍

Who wants to go on an ALUMNI BAND TRIP!😮😮

I heard it over and over when you were in the band and we'd come home from our amazing trips and retreats..."We should do another trip after we graduate," you all said every single time we had these cool experiences.

Well, LET'S DO IT!

Can you imagine how fun it would be to bring your family and meet up with your band and orchestra friends for a fun reunion where we can share stories, catch up, and reminisce?

I'd love to see you and meet your families and kids (who are officially my "grand students," by the way!)

This is Nathan Yee's daughter. Nathan graduated from Lynnwood a long time ago (15 years?) and was a trombone player in many ensembles. His family just received devastating news about their daughter, Ellia. If you can help their family cover medical expenses during this time, I know they'd appreciate it. 🙏💞🎉
