If you would like to meet the 3 candidates for Milford Superintendent of Schools, please attend the meet & greets or Community Forums!

These interactive events will be held today and tomorrow from 3-4, and 5:30-7:45. (See attached schedule)

Although the School Board interviews are public, the public cannot participate. The public can however participate in the forums.

We will videotape each School Board interview and once all 3 have been completed we will make them available on GTM.

Thank you to everyone that expressed interest in being part of the Superintendent Search Committee. The initial task is a Leadership Profile Development, which will be created in Phase One.
We are excited to announce that the following volunteers have been appointed to this initial sub-committee. A schedule for meetings will be available at our next regularly scheduled School Board meeting, to be held at 7 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021. A zoom link will be provided once the Agenda for this meeting has been finalized.

Public Meeting of the Superintendent Hiring Sub-Committee
This meeting will be simulcast LIVE by Granite Town Media on the local access channel. Members of the public are invited to submit comments, questions, and suggestions during and after the call to this email address:

If you are interested in serving on this sub-committee, our plan is to have meetings twice weekly for the next several weeks until Phase 1 is complete.

The first goal of Phase 1 is to create a Leadership Profile and an Advertisement for the position. These meetings will be held in a similar manner and will include public input.

Phase 2 will be to review applications, which will require confidentiality due to personnel issues.

Although our original intention was to elect one interim member; after the resignation of Board Chairman, Mr. Michael Hannon on December 7, 2020, and at the request of members of the Board, we held a Special Meeting today and filled both openings.

The School Board and community at large appreciate all four individual's willingness to participate. Today the Board voted to elect the following two individuals as interim members:
Mr. Steve Martin
Mr. Kevin St. Onge

We look forward to introducing them at our next School Board Meeting, on Monday, December 21, 2020. The agenda and details for the meeting will be posted later this week.

The Milford School Board will meet on Monday, December 7, 2020, at 7:00 PM in the Milford High School Lecture Hall, Room # 182.

The Milford School Board has a vacancy.

Whenever a School Board vacancy shall occur, the remaining members shall appoint a successor to serve until the next school district elections, in accordance with RSA 197:26.

The Milford School Board will be accepting letters of interest from potential candidates. Any interested persons are asked to notify all the Milford School board members. Let us know why you are interested and qualifications.

To be eligible, a person must be a qualified school elector. This means that the applicant must be a registered voter in the school district. An applicant must be at least 18 years of age;

The goal of the school board will be to appoint a candidate with a deep commitment to public education and to all of the children in the district. The nomination and election of the new school board member will be conducted during a School Board Meeting open to the public. We are hoping to fill this position within the next 2 weeks.
