This week we blasted off into space. 🚀

They enjoyed dressing up like astronauts and traveling in the spaceship. 🧑‍🚀

For crafts we colored an astronaut, built a rainbow name rocket, made a hand print alien spaceship and painted a rocket ship. Thanks again Taylor for your assistance with planning the crafts. ☺️

We learned about gravity using balloons and Callan brought a fun rocket launcher. 🌎

I didn’t get many pictures the 2 days we were together this week. The theme was “teddy bear picnic”.🧺

We decorated a lunch bag.
We tried to have a pretend teddy bear picnic .
We were going to have a real picnic but it flopped.
We played find the “a,b,c” fish and feed it to the hungry polar bear.

We had a lot of construction being done around daycare this week. 🚧

Are you ready for some football? 🏈
This week the kids had a lot of fun being football players or cheerleaders. 📣
For crafts we made a football, scratch art football helmet, designed our own color page jersey and put stickers on a personalized water bottle.
I owe a big thank you to Callan’s mom Taylor for preparing this unit for me. We had a lot of fun with it.

• We love the song “10 apples on my head”.
• We sampled green and red apples. We did a vote on which they liked better and red was the winner.
•We had an Apple stand in the dramatic play area.
• We cut an Apple to see what was inside. We talked about how the apples have seeds and that we plant the seeds to grow an apple tree.
• We did Apple stamp art .
