Juneteenth is both a day of remembrance and a day of hope.
As we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, we honor the courage, resilience, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history. Rooted in our Mercy tradition, we are called to uphold the dignity of every person and continue the work of creating a more just and compassionate society.
Today, we remember, we learn, and we recommit ourselves to justice.π
