Our last day of school at Brookside brought all the emotions — happy smiles, big cheers, warm hugs, and even a few tears. 🎉

To our amazing 2nd grade graduates as you leave our halls behind, know that you will always be a part of the Brookside family. We hope you carry with you the memories you made here, the lessons you learned, and the confidence to take on your new adventures at Woodland. 💙👩‍🎓 👨‍🎓💙

🥎🚓🚒 What an amazing day at the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges on Saturday!

Despite the windy weather 💨, it was a fantastic day for softball, fun, and community — all while supporting Brookside Elementary School, Memorial Elementary School, and Shining Star Preschool.

A huge thank you to Dacia Biello for kicking off the event with a beautiful performance of the national anthem and later leading the crowd in Take Me Out to the Ballgame! 🇺🇸🎶

MyFM was on hand to be our game announcer and to live stream the event. We were also so excited to welcome Smiley and Woofster from the WooSox, who threw out the first pitch and took photos with fans throughout the day! 🥎 📸

There was so much fun to be had, from food trucks and raffles to kid-friendly activities like running the bases and freeze dance. It was wonderful to see so many families, friends, and community members come out to support our schools!

Congratulations to the Milford Police Department on the win! 🏆👏

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, and helped make this event such a success. And a very special thank you to all of the businesses and sponsors who supported Battle of the Badges — we truly couldn’t do it without you. 💙❤️💛

It’s hard to believe that our 2nd graders will be moving on to Woodland, but not before we celebrate them and all that they’ve accomplished at Brookside. 💙🤍💙🤍

🌟 We had a great Monday night hosting cartoonist Duane Abel and his Draw Your Destiny assembly!

✍🏻 Students and families enjoyed an engaging and inspiring presentation that combined art, humor, and valuable life lessons. Duane shared his four words to live by—Work, Study, Learn, and Try—and encouraged everyone to apply them both in school and in everyday life.
