Our final (May’s) Jeans for a Cause for the year - $1840 to VIP of Wayne and Pike Counties. This brings this year’s overall donation total to $18,850, $990 more than last year! Nice job, DVEA!

DVEA showed their support for their profession and their education by wearing red today!

May 1 (May Day) is International Workers' Day, celebrated around the world for nearly 150 years in the movement to expand civil and labor rights for working people. The day was first recognized in the 1880s as part of the movement for an 8-hour workday. While May Day is not officially recognized in the US, it has continued to be a time for workers to come together to celebrate labor solidarity and to push for progress. We work in education to make a positive impact on the young people’s lives to which we are entrusted and in our communities.
