We had so much fun delivering Class of 2039 yard signs and T-shirts to our incoming kindergartners! We can't wait to welcome these future leaders and watch them learn and grow! Welcome Class of 2039! We are so excited to have you!

🎉 Join Us for Back-to-School Night! 🎉

Join us on Tuesday, August 11, from 4:30–6:00 PM for Back-to-School Night & our Annual Title I Parent Information Night for all PreK–5th grade families!

Come meet your teacher, explore your classroom, and get excited for an amazing new school year! While you're here, enjoy a delicious meal from Do Good BBQ and cool off with a sweet treat from Sprinkle Express—both will be available for purchase.

Please Note: There will not be a separate Kindergarten Orientation this year. Kindergarten families are encouraged to attend Back-to-School Night along with all other families.

The first day of school, August 12th, will be here before you know it!

Take 5-10 minutes to get your child registered for the upcoming school year! Please remember to upload birth certificates, proof of residency, and sign a home language survey (located in the office), so we are able to process your child's registration.

If you have any questions or issues don't hesitate to call or come into the office! We can’t wait to see all of our students back for the 2026-2027 school year! 💚

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We are just a little over two weeks away from welcoming our students back to Milford Elementary, and we are excited for another great year!

Below are important reminders as we prepare for the start of school.

Registration Reminder:
All students—new and returning—must complete registration each year. To register, visit: https://www.wawaseeschools.org/ - Scroll down and click on the registration link that pertains to your situation.

School Supplies Update:
Thank you for your patience as we have received questions about school supplies for the upcoming year. Through numerous donations from many organizations and formatting a plan…MES will be providing classroom supplies for ALL students!

The ONLY item we are asking families to provide is a pair of headphones. We view this as a small investment in helping students take ownership of their supplies. Over the years, we have found that when families provide the headphones, students often take greater care of them and are more likely to use them responsibly throughout the school year.

If your child needs a backpack or water bottle at the beginning of the year, please let us know. We are happy to help provide those items.

Important Dates:
Back-to-School Night
Tuesday, August 11 - 4:30–6:00 p.m.
Come visit MES, meet your child’s teacher, and see the classroom before the first day!

First Student Day - Wednesday, August 12

Building Update:
If you have driven by MES recently, you have probably noticed the old Milford building has been torn down. Cleanup is still taking place, and the area will eventually become the new parking lot.

The parking lot project will take time and is not expected to be completed until later this fall. I will share more details next week about the timeline and how this will impact arrival and dismissal.

Additional Items:
The MES front office will be back open on Wednesday, July 29. We are excited to have Myra and Taiylor back! They do a great job supporting our students and families!

I will also be sharing another video next week with important details about drop-off and pick-up procedures for the start of the school year.

We are excited to welcome our Warriors back soon!

☀️ Summer is still in full swing, but the first day of school (August 12th) will be here before we know it! 📚🍎

Take 5-10 minutes to get your child registered for the upcoming school year. Registering now helps us finalize class lists, transportation, and staffing so we are ready to welcome everyone back! If you haven’t registered yet, now is the perfect time.

Also, the front office at MES will be open on Monday, July 27th. We can’t wait to see all of our students back for the 2026-2027 school year! 💚

Milford Families -- As demolition has begun and continues on the old Milford School building, we wanted to share a few updated photos showing the progress over the last few weeks.

In addition, ceremonial bricks from the original building are available for families who would like to keep a small piece of Milford history. The bricks are located on a pallet at the Circle Drive entrance off Emeline. They will continue to add to this as demolition continues.

We kindly ask that families please take only one brick per person in your household so that as many families as possible have the opportunity to participate.

Thank you for helping us preserve and share a meaningful piece of Milford history!
