RUOXUAN (NOLA) TAN is a mezzo-soprano. Her stage credits include Carmen/Carmen, Arnalta/L’incoronazione di Poppea, and Florence Pike/Albert Herring with Northwestern Opera Theatre; Madame de la Haltière/Cendrillon with Berlin Opera Academy; and Bradamante/Alcina and Mother Jeanne/Dialogues des Carmélites with CIM Opera Theatre at the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has also appeared as alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the CWRU Baroque Orchestra at Case Western Reserve University. Tan has participated as a young artist in Berlin Opera Academy (2025), SongFest (2023, Nashville), and Oberlin College’s Baroque Performance Institute (2022, 2023).
She received an Encouragement Award in the 2026 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, Nebraska District, and First Prize in the NATS Central Region Advanced Classical Student Auditions. In the summer of 2026, she was a Vocal Fellow with the Grant Park Music Festival in Chicago. In February 2027, she will sing the title role of Cesare in Handel’s Giulio Cesare with CCM Opera.
Alongside her performing activities, she served as a voice teacher for non-music majors at Northwestern University during the 2025–26 academic year. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Voice at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM).

Angels would like to welcome Eva Reid, our newest member of the team.
Eva will be a graduate of Northern Kentucky University as of December 2026 where she is studying Music Education and Violin Performance. She has been teaching private lessons for four years and has worked with students of a variety of ages. Additionally, Eva has served as a teaching assistant for NKU's String Project and Youth Symphony Orchestra. As an educator, Eva is passionate about sharing the joy of playing the violin and supporting students in their goals.

Angels would like to welcome our newest Guitar instructor, Cameron Spicer.
Cameron is currently a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati: College-Conservatory of Music. He is finishing his Master of Music (Guitar Performance) degree under Dr. Christopher Wilke and expects to graduate no later than May 2027. Cameron has been playing music for 10 years and teaching all ages for 5 years, in both classroom and private one-on-one settings.
Being versatile per his education in both jazz, classical, and contemporary guitar at Eastern Kentucky University under Dr. Dennis Davis, Cameron can play many different styles and read and teach any type of sheet music, commercial chart, or tablature. Hailing from Kentucky, he can play Mandolin, Banjo, and Dobro in the Bluegrass style, as well as Lute and Ukelele.
Cameron plans on pursuing a PhD in Musicology for a career in higher education.

Congratulations to studio member Jonathan Hester for his Cappies win. Jonathan took home Lead Actor in a musical. Jonathan is a student of Katherine Krueger Jeffrey.

Congrats to studio member Jonathan Hester! Jonathan won Lead Actor In A Musical at the Cappies Of Greater Cincinnati last night! In the fall Jonathan will be attending the University of Richmond on a full ride scholarship majoring in political science with a minor in music. Congrats Jonathan!
