Today the MCLC staff got a day that was just for them. 💜

We celebrated our team for earning Step 2 of Nebraska’s Step Up to Quality, a milestone that reflects real, documented work in our classrooms. We walked through exactly what it took to get there, because our teachers earned every bit of it. Tenured staff that assisted in obtaining this honor were gifted with “spa in a bag” personalized gifts of appreciation. The MCLC parents came together and put together a fantastic staff appreciation video of notes and personal videos, too!

The MCLC also launched Operation Pollination, our new community encouragement program. Staff, families, and kids will write notes to one another, carried by our bee, named Goldie today by the staff, and collected in a vase they named Petals of Positivity. They chose the three values for this quarter that it runs on: teamwork, love, and consistency. We invite any parents or community members involved at the center to join in on our new bee-ginning program! Look for our new flowers coming soon in hallways and classrooms! 🐝 🌹

Thank you also to Bellwood Mennonite Church for allowing us the use of the fellowship hall today to not only host the MCLC staff but the Friend Learning Center staff as well! 📸 *Staff pictures in the comments!!*

🎉 TWO YEARS of love, learning, and little ones! 🎉

Two years ago, we opened our doors with a dream — and THIS community showed up in the biggest way. Today, we're proud to share that we are officially at waitlist-only capacity, serving 54 children daily and growing right alongside this community, welcoming babies from the moment they're born! 🍼👶

None of this happens without our incredible board members, whose dedication and vision made this possible from day one. And to every family, caregiver, and supporter who has trusted us — THANK YOU. You are the reason we do this.

🍎✨ Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! ✨🍎

This week, we want to pause and give a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible teachers here at Milford Childhood Learning Center — and a special shoutout on National Daycare Provider Day, May 8th!

Our teachers do it all. Every single day, they teach, feed, comfort, change, and play with our littlest learners — even on the toughest days. They show up with patience, kindness, and an abundance of love, creating a warm and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Being a daycare provider and early childhood educator is no small feat, yet our team makes it look beautiful. Each one of them has touched the heart of a child or family in a way that will last a lifetime.

As MCLC approaches its 2-year anniversary, we are proud to say our classrooms are filled to capacity — not just with children, but with love, laughter, and learning. That would not be possible without each and every one of our amazing teachers.

Thank you for being the foundation of every child's learning journey. We are so grateful for you! 💛
