Day 6 - Soap day!

So sorry to my other 3 groups!

It's an, all my hands on deck, kind of day and it was really hard to get pictures.

Tomorrow I will post videos of their first cuts of soap!!!

Day 5 Mayterm- Lotion day!!

Today our ladies formulated, made, and labeled 2 batches of Lotion!

They also labeled and prepped all their products and began to prep for soap day on Monday!

Making a Lotion as a demo, while teaching the content.. while trying to keep it moving quick, while trying to keep it engaging is a special kind of brain activity. 🫧 😆

Day 5 Mayterm 2026- Lotion Day!

Today they had to listen to me talk a bit but they were able to formulate and make 2 batches of Lotion.

They also prepped, labeled, and cleaned up all their products today!

Monday will be our Culture Reveal as well as Soap Day!!!

And yes! We are observing the nasties around us and learning how to make Soap from scratch to keep the nasties from winning!

Day 4- Today in Consumer Chemistry we also prepped and delivered the products their Staff Mentees made yesterday.

We also made our first batch of Lip Balms!

Tomorrow is Lotion day!

Day 4-Today Consumer Chemistry started the day getting swabs of surfaces around the school they thought may give us the most interesting Cultures on our Agar prepped petri dishes. They are now incubating, stay tuned for results!

Then they prepped and delivered the products their Staff Mentees made yesterday.

We also made our first batch of Lip Balms!

Tomorrow is Lotion day!

Bath Bomb day today!

We made quite a few batches of bath bombs!

Each group also picked a staff member in the building and taught them to make a batch as well!
