The students had so much fun adopting a PEEP to take care of over Spring Break! After picking out their peep—either a bunny 🐰or a chick🐣— they filled out their adoption paper and shared a few favorite things about their new little friend. They made sure their peep had everything it needed—carrots for snacks, a toy to play with, and lots of love.

This was such a sweet way for them to practice real-life skills in a fun way—being responsible, showing kindness, taking care of something, and using their imagination. We also worked on talking about our peeps, following simple routines, and learning how to be gentle and thoughtful helpers. 🐣💛

Our 5 Senses
This week was all about sight 👀 sound 👂🏾 taste 👅 smell 👃 and touch 🖐️

We started the week making messy oobleck! It was so much fun to mix, roll, squish and play with the cornstarch and water mixture

We explored many ways of how our senses are connected and work together. A favorite is always our tasting feast!

Chips, olives, pepperoni, marshmallows, lemons, pickles, lemons, mandarin oranges, peanut butter, mini chocolate chips, apples and bananas!

Salty, sweet, savory, spicy, salty and sour!

Crunchy, juicy, mushy, soft, chewy, hard and sticky!

Tasting different foods and textures can teach our brains so much! hd ycle

We read “How to Catch a Turkey” and learned several ways to disguise a turkey to help him hide from the farmer. The students did a take home project with their families and brought back some very creative turkeys in disguise 🥸

Thanksgiving Turkey Balloon Parade

Making these balloons helped the students with
🦃 Fine Motor Skill Development
•peeling and placing stickers •strengthening finger muscles
•Improving hand-eye coordination
•preparing children for writing skills

They loved marching in a parade to show off their thanksgiving day balloons 🎈
