CCDHS Class of 1974

Unfortunately, CCDHS Class of 1974 we have lost another classmate. Susie Root Celander passed away from cancer on Sept. 10th, just after our reunion. Some of you may not have known her very well, she left school after our sophomore year. I just always knew her and visited with her a few times when I saw her downtown. I'm glad that we have kept including those who maybe didn't graduate with us but who we spend time with in grade school, junior high, etc. She was a very sweet lady!

It's Sunday morning, I'm a little exhausted yet, but Wow, Wow, Wow - what a reunion! It was totally amazing and from what I heard last night, everyone had as much fun as I did. I have been on such a high since Friday! To all my wonderful classmates, thank you all so much for coming and making this reunion a great success. I am so proud to be a member of the Class of 1974! What a great bunch of fun loving, kind, and giving people you all are - Our high schools should be very proud!!!

To the reunion committee - it has been an honor to have each of you in my life and all the great work you did to make this all a success. Thank you Shannon Bryan Holmen, Jo Beaty, Terry Tonn Chavez and Barb Stoler Seibert!

Miles City Class of 1974! It's the final count down!
Registration is Friday at the Miles City Town and Country Club starting at 4, but you can come whenever you want to. We will be there until we all just decide to go home! We will have a list for you of what is happening on Saturday along with places to go and see. So see you all tomorrow, Friday! The committee will be waiting to see you!!

Finished the reunion boards but I have to say the hardest board was "In Memory of". We have lost 51 classmates, which I can say I knew them all, some better than others, but i still knew them. It was hard and a couple of times had to swallow the hard lump in my throat. So many good people - so many good memories. This is why we have and NEED reunions, to honor those we've lost and make more memories with the ones still here.

Miles City Class of 1974 - all you Miles City classmates who don't think you need to come to the reunion, you should! Many people are traveling quite a distance to see you and WANT to see you. We have an amazing group of people and I KNOW you will have a great time. If anything - come Friday night to the registration and just see whos there!!! Miles City Town and Country Club on September 6, starting at 4 until whenever we all decide to leave! If I don't hear from you - you may get an unexpected visit at some point! You'll never know when!!!!

NOTICE - MILES CITY CLASS OF 1974, Custer and Sacred Heart - please get in your registrations for the reunion or PM me if you are planning to come, I will fill out a registration for you and you can pay when you get here. I have to get the count to our caterers by Saturday. We have 137 so far, includes spouses. We have invited teachers and so far 3 are coming and I I expect to see a couple more. So please, please let me know.

Miles City Class of 1974 - Update and reminder! Unfortunately there won't be a football game on September 6th - the Montana Highschool football association changed the schedule, so Custer is away on their first game instead of here at home. Second we won't be able to tour the Montana Theatre as the owner is gone on the 7th and the manager has something else planned. But we still have plenty of things to do! There is the car show, tour the event center, tour the schools, winery, etc. We will have a list at registration!

Also, if you are planning to bring something for the silent auction, please don't forget to bring it. This is not mandatory! I am planning on a basket of candies that we had as kids and I've received a beautiful fall quilted table runner from Susan Thompson McKenna, I know I will be bidding on that. I know of several others that are bringing some fun things, and even if you don't bring anything, you sure can bid on items. The money raised will go to the Friends of the Fairgrounds to help purchase much needed items, like picnic tables, chairs, etc.

I am so excited - See you in September!!!

Miles City Class of 1974 - request - our bar caterer for the banquet wants to try to make sure they have plenty of what everyone likes to drink. If you really don't care you don't need to let me know, but if you really like to have a certain drink or wine or beer, please pm me with that request. He just wants to make sure that he has something for everyone. Hopefully he can fill most if not all of our requests. Thanks everyone!

Miles City class of 1974, Custer and Sacred Heart, having verbal confirmations with classmates we are now standing at 121 coming to the reunion, give or take a few depending on if classmates are bringing a guest.

Miles City Class of 1974, Custer and Sacred Heart - we now have officially 105 people registered to attend the 50 year reunion in September! I also have talked to several others who are planning to attend, lets hit the 125 mark!!!! Come one, come all! It's going to be a great time!

CCDHS Class of 1974 - have just received an email from Jim Tobin to say that he is coming, from the island of Pohnpei, Federated states of Micronesia where he has lived for 42 years. It's between Hawaii and Japan. He has been working for the Olympics most of those years. He will be in Paris for the summer Olympics, then start to make his way here! I don't think any of us have seen him since high school!

And we are up to 100 coming to the reunion, including guests so far and I am receiving mail, emails or texts almost everyday to those needing to get registered. Spent an hour yesterday talking to Matt Jordan on the phone, who plans to attend. It's going to be such a super great time! Can't wait to see you all in September!

CCDHS & SHHS Class of 1974, I am so very excited. I am receiving, almost everyday, registrations for our class reunion. I am thrilled at the early response and thrilled at those of you who have reached out telling me you have your room or campground reservations made. Also know that if you send in your registration and things fall apart for you as the time gets closer, I will mail you back your money as long as it's before the cut off date to get in our count for the caterer. It is going to be a great time, because we've always had a great time!
