This week, Nicci and Sara are attending the South Dakota ACTE Summer Conference, connecting with fellow educators, discovering new teaching ideas, and exploring the latest resources for Family & Consumer Sciences classrooms. 🍎

What an incredible week in Washington, D.C. representing our chapter at FCCLA National Leadership Conference! 🇺🇸❤️

Kalli took on one of the most challenging STAR Events—Baking & Pastry. From packing baking sheets and supplies to competing on the national stage, she tackled every challenge with determination and earned a Bronze medal.

Beyond competition, we explored our nation’s capital, mastered the Metro, tried foods we don’t normally get to enjoy, and made memories we’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to our school district for believing in our students and providing opportunities like this that help them grow into confident leaders. And thank you to everyone who supports our chapter—you make experiences like this possible.

Here’s to bringing home new memories, new ideas, and even bigger dreams. ❤️💙

We are half way through FCCLA National Leadership Conference!

Kalli competed on Tuesday in Baking & Pastry. She said that it went a little bad at first but then it was fine, and she did get more done than some people though. 😊 We have been slaying the Metro after our first time trying to use it.

Most importantly, we have been learning and creating connections! Today, we will be tourists where we will participate in Rock the Red Rally and sightseeing. Tomorrow we will find out how Kalli did.

Good luck to our very own Kalli as she competed at the National Leadership Conference July 6-10!

This year was the first time ever Milbank had an affiliated chapter and Kalli will be our first ever member competing at the national level. Here’s to the beginning of Milbank FCCLA members doing great things!

Thank you to Guadalupe's and On The Border Coffee Co. for coming to the high school! The high school FCS culinary arts class is working on their final project - food truck wars. It was Milbank’s inaugural year of FCCLA! It was been a year of navigating as a new chapter. Members were excited to dive in and tread the waters. On Sunday, 19 members attended the State Leadership Conference where they competed in STAR events and grow as members. Congratulations to our members that competed!
