The Milan FFA was proud to help put on the annual Ripley County Ag Day! 🌾

Every 3rd grader in Ripley County had the opportunity to rotate through a variety of hands-on stations and learn more about the important role agriculture plays in our community.

Our FFA members played a big part in making the day a success. Some presented at the different stations, while others served as group leaders, helping students navigate the activities, and assisted with cleanup throughout the day.

We are proud of our FFA members for giving their time, sharing their knowledge, and representing Milan High School so well!

🏁 And they’re off! The 6th Grade Inertia 500 is underway! 🚗💨

Our 6th grade scientists have been diving into Newton’s Laws of Motion and putting their knowledge to the test with a fun, hands-on “Inertia 500” challenge!

Students developed hypotheses, identified variables, and conducted multiple trials to investigate balanced and unbalanced forces. Their challenge? Create a scenario to see how far they could send a piece of Play-Doh flying from a moving car! 🏎️💥

But the learning didn’t stop at the finish line! Students used their observations to discuss inertia and why seatbelts are so important when riding in a car. They tested, observed, analyzed, and connected their results to a real-world safety situation.

Science is always more exciting when you can see Newton’s Laws in action! 🔬🚗💨

Milan Elementary is incredibly grateful to Great Plains Communications for awarding a grant to support our Comfort Closet!

Thanks to their generous support, we were able to purchase a new cabinet, a rolling cart, and much-needed personal hygiene products for our students. These resources will help us better organize our Comfort Closet and, most importantly, help us meet the individual needs of our students.

Milan High School was well represented at the Pumpkin Show Parade this morning! 🎃🖤💛

Our marching band sounded fantastic and brought plenty of MHS spirit to the parade. We were also proud to have Kaitlynn Hicks and Logan Bruns represent Milan in the Queen and King competition.

Thank you to our students and staff for representing MHS so well!
