Class of MHS 1972: Our classmate, Betty Quillen ROMINES lost her niece, Haley, who she had raised her entire life. Haley was killed due to a car wreck. No arrangements just private. We must keep Betty in her prayers. This is so hard. Haley had 3 children who Betty is also raising. Please pray for these young children. They have lost their Mom. This is worse than hard. Betty will need our prayers. Betty, the class of 1972 will be keeping you in our prayers. ๐Ÿ™โœ๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ

We have lost another classmate, Angela Garmany McKee. The obituary listed by Bodkin Funeral Home is as follows:

Angela Beth McKee, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on August 17, 1954, in Milan, Angela's life was a testament to her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature.

Angela was predeceased by her cherished daughter, Brandi Hammond, and her adored grandson, Ryker Graves. Her legacy continues with her beloved husband, Ray McKee, her grandson, Christian Graves (Jessica) of Collierville, TN, and a great-grandchildren, Jackson, Leeroy, Kaleb, and Isabella Graves, her stepson, Jeff McKee, stepdaughter, Karen Hall, brothers, David Garmany (Kay) of Gibson, TN, and Wayne Garmany (Melissa) of Huntingdon, TN, and sister, Dawn Johnson (Jerry) of Milan. She was the daughter of the late Charles Garmany and Sarah Perry Garmany and is also survived by several step-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Angela's educational journey included attending Union University and completing EMT school, which paved the way for her to serve her community with dedication. She worked as an EMT for Gibson and Madison Counties, where her compassionate spirit and unwavering commitment to helping others shone brightly. Her colleagues and those she aided will remember her as a beacon of hope and comfort during their times of need.

A devout Christian, Angela found great solace and joy in her faith. She was an active and devoted member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, where she nurtured her spiritual life and formed lasting bonds with her church family. Her faith was an integral part of who she was, guiding her actions and interactions with everyone she met.

Angela's interests were deeply rooted in the love for her family and her church. She was a pillar of strength and support, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness extended beyond her immediate circle, touching the lives of many within her community. Angela's thoughtfulness was evident in the way she lived her life, always considering the impact of her words and actions on those around her.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2026, at Bodkin Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

We have lost another who walked with us at MHS, Mr. James Harold Brady. James Harold Brady Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. James Harold Brady, age 90 of Milan, will take place at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Bodkin Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gibson County Memory Gardens near Milan. Visitation with the family will take place Friday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Brady was born on June 8, 1935, in Madison County to the late James Thomas and Jesse Ruth McFarland Brady. He passed away November 23, 2025, at The Arbors of Milan.

Mr. Brady was a dedicated member of Sitka Church of Christ. He was a teacher and principal in Milan for 33 years. He also served his country in National Guard. Mr. Brady was a shining example to all those who knew him. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family and the Lord.

Mr. Brady is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Jean Brady of Milan; son, James Andrew Brady and wife Kathie of Milan; daughter, Christy Newbaker and husband David of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Paige Wood and husband Matthew of Bradford, Beth Anne Smith and husband Chris of Milan, Alex Newbaker, and Ben Newbaker; great grandchildren, Brady Wood, Chloe Anne Smith, and Cameron Smith.

Memorials may be directed to the Sitka Church of Christ.

John Daniel "Danny" Fitzgerald Obituary
John Daniel "Danny" Fitzgerald, age 70, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at his home in Milan, Tennessee.

He was born on June 22, 1954 in Milan to the late Thomas Fitzgerald and Mary Lois Phillips Fitzgerald.

Danny was the owner of Milan Decorators and member of Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Humboldt. He had a wonderful work ethic as he was passionate in helping people. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan and enjoyed to travel. Danny loved his family and his dogs.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Fitzgerald and sister, Patricia Knott.

He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Polly Miller Fitzgerald of Milan; daughter, Lori Camille Fitzgerald Burke and her husband Jim of Chattanooga; brother, Mike Fitzgerald of Milan; and grandchildren, Larkin Cook and her husband Adam Hubbard and Graham Cook.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with burial to follow in Double Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Humboldt.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on Thursday in the chapel.
