Senior Chelsey Hess was spotted at the Huron County Fair showing her rooster and lamb through 4-H!

Chelsey’s involvement in 4-H reflects many of the same skills we value in Visual & Interactive Media — responsibility, communication, problem-solving, confidence, time management, and a strong work ethic.

We love seeing our students involved in their communities, exploring what they’re passionate about, and building skills that will stick with them long after high school.

💙🧡 From New Student to Inspiring Graduate 🧡💙

When Julieta De Loera Figueroa arrived at Edison High School as a freshman, she was beginning a brand-new life in a new country and knew only a few words of English.

Four years later, she graduated as a student leader, musician, artist, Thespian, National Honor Society member, scholarship recipient, and first-generation college student. This fall, she'll attend Bowling Green State University to study psychology and digital arts. 🎓✨

In a recent feature by the Sandusky Register, Julieta reflected on the educators who helped shape her journey. She shared that the district tutor and translator, Whitney Bickel, helped her adjust to a new language and school, while teacher Sarah Roan encouraged her from day one and watched her confidence and talents flourish. Julieta also said clubs, music, theater, and school activities helped her build friendships and confidence.

Stories like Julieta's remind us that education is about more than academics. It's about caring adults, meaningful opportunities, and a community that believes in every student's potential. We couldn't be prouder of what Julieta has accomplished and can't wait to see where her journey takes her next. 💙🧡

We are so proud of you Julieta!

Four years ago, Julieta De Loera Figueroa came to the U.S. without knowing more than a few words of English.

Fast-forward to today, and not only is the 2026 Edison High School graduate fluent in the language, but she's excelled both inside and outside the classroom, winning many awards, earning several scholarships and getting involved with many extracurriculars to understand the culture.

Class of 2026 has officially finished our training. From the start of our first days here at EHOVE to this final moment, we've spent countless hours designing and bringing our visions to life. Now we're ready to export these skills into the real world and head toward our new careers. Watch our world, here we come! 🚀✨

EHOVE's Visual & Interactive Media program was more than just a classroom, it was a goldmine for designers who wanted to turn their ideas they visualized in their head into the real thing. It's hard to say goodbye to a place where we had the freedom to create alongside our friends every day.

As we head out into the world, we're taking all of the skills we built and learned in our lab to start something new! 🎬✨

As my time as an ambassador draws to a close, it's my time to pass the torch. I'm thrilled to announce that Blaire Moore will be next year's ambassador! 🥳

Blaire will be taking over the posting duties starting in the fall. I have no doubt she is going to do great things and can't wait to see the energy and vision she brings to the position! Be sure to follow along to see the class of 2027's journey as seniors next year!

It can be difficult for students when figuring out what they want to do straight out of high school. 🤔 Luckily, EHOVE can help guide that decision and help students broaden their horizons! 🤩

Here are two of my classmates that have an idea for their career path. Their names are Lilly and Julieta, and they're both seniors in the Visual & Interactive Media program.

Lilly said, "The career I want to pursue after graduation is perfumery and I want to make scents for lotions, soaps, and body mists. I love being creative and expressing myself in different ways and experimenting with different scents is one of the big ways I do that."

Julieta said, "I'm pursuing a career in psychology at BGSU in hopes of being a psychiatrist."

Here’s Blaire Moore, a Junior in the Visual & Interactive Media lab. Blaire came to EHOVE in hopes of meeting new people to widen her circle in a professional environment, and to get that full EHOVE experience!

One of the things Blaire enjoys most about our program are the many different parts that make up Visual & Interactive Media like social media, video, graphic design, photography, and so much more!

A fun fact about Blaire is that she plays the guitar and loves music. 🎸🎵
