It’s never too late to change your future. 💙

EHOVE Cosmetology - Adult Education student Rebecca Bohannon knows what it means to keep going, even when life is already full. While working full time, raising three children and planning her dream wedding, Rebecca made the decision to invest in herself and pursue a new career.

Her days are long, but her determination has already taken her farther than she imagined. Rebecca recently represented EHOVE at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta, where she earned a bronze medal in cosmetology! 🥉

“Competing at SkillsUSA Nationals and earning a bronze medal was something I never thought possible when I first walked through EHOVE’s doors,” Rebecca said.

Now, she’s working toward an even bigger goal: becoming a salon owner.

Rebecca’s story is a reminder that adult education isn’t about being too late. It’s about deciding what comes next and having the determination to pursue the future you want.

A piece of art nearly 200 years old now has a new layer of protection thanks to the skills of EHOVE students! 🪚

When the Firelands Historical Society needed a custom frame to protect an original 1825 portrait by renowned French Romantic artist Eugène Delacroix, they turned to EHOVE for help.

Four EHOVE Construction Tech students worked alongside their instructor to craft a custom oak frame with glass, creating a protective display for this unique piece of history. It’s a great example of students putting their skills to work on a project with a lasting impact right here in our community.

There’s been a lot happening in EHOVE Adult Education classrooms, labs and clinical settings over the last two weeks! 🙌

Our EHOVE Nursing students completed their first round of clinicals, gaining valuable real-world experience while navigating care plans, long days and plenty of coffee. Along the way, they’re also building the friendships and support systems that can make all the difference as they work through their programs together. 🩺

In EHOVE Cosmetology - Adult Education, students put their skills into practice with different perming techniques, learning how placement and technique can completely change the finished result. They also welcomed EHOVE alum Kamoni back to the salon for a special demonstration featuring a silk press and four stitch braids. Students got an up-close look at her process, products and techniques, and a chance to see where their own training can take them. ✂️

These students are learning by doing, building skills and preparing for what comes next across EHOVE Adult Education!

Across EHOVE, classrooms and labs are being prepared, our staff is gearing up for the year ahead, and campus is getting ready for the energy that returns when our high school students walk through the doors!

Discover what's ahead in EHOVE's future in this new video from Superintendent Chris M. McCully that highlights the facility project and its long-term benefits for the community. We all rely on the skilled workers who keep our communities running... from automotive technicians, cosmetologists and chefs to healthcare providers, construction tradespeople, and public safety personnel. Those future professionals are being trained at EHOVE.

Construction is taking place in phases, allowing education to continue uninterrupted. Although visitors may occasionally use a different entrance as construction progresses, community services will also continue, including the restaurant, café, salon, and other student-operated services.
