Today, I asked some of our Cybersecurity students what they wanted to be when they grew up vs. what they want to be now! We got some amazing answers. Some students are ready to dive into the IT field, while others realized it's not for them—and that’s completely okay! EHOVE is all about discovering what you love (and ruling out what you don't). No matter what your path looks like, everybody is welcome here at EHOVE! 💡💻

While most people associate cybersecurity with software, understanding your hardware is just as essential. That's why every year in the EHOVE Cybersecurity lab, our Juniors take apart a PC and put it right back together again to see if it boots up! If things don't go as planned, they get to dive into problem-solving mode, troubleshoot their mistakes, and experiment with the components until everything runs smoothly. It’s a super fun project that gives everyone a whole new appreciation for how technology works on the inside.
Pictured above are our current Juniors with the PCs they worked on! Whether they’re smiling proudly next to their system or caught mid-build, you can see just how much everyone loved this hands-on experience! 💻🔧

Looking back, there are definitely a few things I wish I knew before coming to EHOVE! For starters, I had no idea just how many industry certifications we work toward earning during our time here—check out the graphic to see some of the certifications you can earn in the Cybersecurity program! 💻🛡️
Something else I wish I knew about EHOVE in general is just how student-focused the school truly is. EHOVE wants the best for everyone and goes above and beyond to help us build essential career skills, enter the workforce, and succeed in any job!

Here at EHOVE, students can still participate in their homeschool activities! Staying connected with your home school is highly supported if it's important to you. Check out some of our current students who balance EHOVE with clubs and sports back home:
Dresden & Triston (Juniors): Both stay active at Vermilion—Dresden is in the marching band, and Triston wrestles!
Kayla (Junior): Is involved in the Drama Club over at Monroeville!
Kordell (Senior): Participates in Speech and Debate at Edison!
Khaleb (Sophomore): Plays soccer for Vermilion!
This just shows how versatile life at EHOVE can be and how easy it is to stay connected to your home school in so many different ways! 🌟

Hands-on training is a huge part of career-tech education, which means our students spend three hours in this lab every day. Three hours a day might sound like a long time to stay in one room, but in the EHOVE Cybersecurity program, time flies!
We’ve intentionally built a classroom environment that feels welcoming, cozy, and supportive from the moment you walk through the door. 🔒Whether you're relaxing in our super-comfy seating or working inside a computer, this space was made for future tech leaders.
Enjoy this behind-the-scenes tour of our lab and see for yourself what life as an EHOVE Cybersecurity student is all about!⚡🔌

Senior rite of passage! 🔌 Every year, our seniors put their skills to the test by hand-building the network cables for their own PCs. After learning the ropes junior year, putting it into practice as a senior is where the real magic happens. We had a blast putting our Ethernet-making skills to work—good luck to next year's juniors when it's your turn!
