💍 Wedding Glam with Beauty Unveiled! 💄

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Sara from Beauty Unveiled this week! She came in to tell us all about the amazing company she works for, specializing in wedding hair and makeup, and gave us a beautiful demonstration on our very own Rylie! 🤍

We dove into ALL things weddings! From how the process works and what her days look like, to what it’s really like working in the wedding industry and everything in between! 👰🏼‍♀️✨

This is such an amazing opportunity for anyone interested in doing wedding hair or makeup but who doesn’t want the hassle of handling all the business side of things! As an independent contractor, you get the flexibility to choose when you’re available to work and when you’re not. 🙌🏼

And of course, Sara shared SO many tips, tricks, and helpful techniques for creating those perfect bridal looks! 💕 We loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at what this career path can offer and learning from someone who’s out there doing it!

🦴➡️💪 From bones to muscles!

Anatomy continued this week, and we got to bring out our creative side again! 🎨 This time, we traced body outlines and put our anatomy knowledge to work by drawing in the muscles of the face, head, neck, arms, and legs.

There was lots of learning, lots of laughs, and maybe a few interesting-looking muscles along the way! And just remember… we’re not exactly artists around here — we’re future cosmetologists! 💇‍♀️😂 We had such a great time with this project, and it made learning anatomy so much more fun and hands-on.

Our seniors had such a wonderful opportunity this week to learn from Beth at the JCPenney Salon! 💇‍♀️💕

Beth came in and gave us an amazing blowout demonstration and shared her knowledge, tips, and tricks to help us take our blowout skills to the next level.

But the learning didn’t stop there! She also gave us an inside look at salon life! From talking about how her salon operates and the benefits they offer, to what it’s really like working in the industry.

Our seniors came prepared with ALL the questions, and Beth was kind enough to answer everything we could think of, from the pros and cons of salon life to building a career behind the chair and everything in between!

We are so grateful for professionals like Beth who take the time to share their experience and help prepare the next generation of stylists. 💕✂️

🦴✨Building Our Knowledge from the Bones Up!✨🦴

This week, our cosmetology class started learning all about anatomy! We explored the bones of the face, head, neck, arms, and legs and learned where each one is located in the body.

Of course, we had to add a little creativity to our learning! 🎨 We worked together in groups to draw body outlines and place the different bones in their correct locations. It was such a fun, hands-on way to bring anatomy to life while building knowledge that will be important throughout our cosmetology careers! 💇‍♀️💅✨

🍓 Fruit Salad, yummy yummy🍉

The Sr. girls had a sweet time in their final competition, where the challenge was to turn their mannequins into FRUIT! 🍍🍒🍇 From dragon fruit and star fruit to grapes, pineapple, kiwi, cherries, and watermelon, they got to get creative with color, texture, styling, and a whole lot of imagination! 🌈✨

What started as mannequins turned into the most colorful fruit salad we’ve ever seen! 😂🍉🍓 We’re so proud of all the creativity and hard work these girls have put in throughout the year, and what a fun way to finish out their competitions! 💕

School doesn’t always have to be boring! 💇‍♀️✨ One of the best things about being in Cosmetology at EHOVE is how much hands-on experience we get as a class in the lab!

Recently, we practiced different perming techniques on our mannequins. We learned about the different types of perms, how each technique is done, and how the placement and technique you choose can completely change the final result! 🌀

Before coming to EHOVE, we didn’t realize just how much time we would spend actually practicing the skills we’re learning. Instead of only reading about cosmetology, we get to learn by doing it ourselves and seeing the results firsthand!

This week we got to welcome Kamoni back to the salon for an amazing demo! 🤍 She showed us how she creates a gorgeous silk press with 4 stitch braids, and it was so nice to see how much she’s thriving in her career. We’re so proud of everything she’s accomplishing!

She walked us through her process from start to finish, sharing some of her favorite products, techniques, and tips for achieving a smooth, healthy silk press and clean stitch braids. It was such a fun learning experience, and we all picked up some great new techniques to add to our toolbox.

A huge thank you to Kamoni for taking the time to come back and share her knowledge with us! We love learning from our alumni and seeing where this industry can take us. 💕

✨Hi everyone! My name is Clarissa, and I am the Class Ambassador for the EHOVE Adult Education Cosmetology Class of 2027!

I’d like to welcome everyone who is new here, as well as those who have been following the EHOVE Adult Education Cosmetology program throughout the years. I’m excited to be the one sharing the majority of our posts and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at our journey.

As the Class Ambassador, my purpose is to share the student perspective of the EHOVE experience while also developing valuable social media management skills that can be used in any career field.

This week, our Seniors got one last night to themselves in the salon before transitioning to our temporary home while exciting things are happening with our new building! 💇‍♀️✨

We spent the evening treating each other to some well-deserved services, and the talent on display was incredible! Between the busy salon and all the excitement, we completely forgot to snap the after photos. 😂
