Yesterday we celebrated Samantha’s graduation, and my heart is so full. 🎓✨

Seeing how far she has come over the years has been such an honor. She has worked so hard for this moment, and she truly deserves all the love and celebration she received.

Today, our Young Adult Program students put independence into action! 🚌✨

We spent the day in Ann Arbor practicing real-life community and independent living skills by using TheRide public transportation system. Students learned how to read the bus schedule, plan routes, identify pick-up and drop-off times, purchase bus fare, and successfully use their day passes.

Once we arrived at Arborland, students practiced financial literacy skills by working on budgeting, identifying wants vs. needs, and making thoughtful purchasing decisions in the community.

These hands-on experiences are such an important part of building confidence, self-sufficiency, and preparing for everyday adult life. We are so proud of their hard work, responsibility, and growth! 👏

We officially launched our coffee & snack cart today! ☕️🍪

Our students have been working hard behind the scenes to make this happen. They’ve taken inventory, calculated pricing based on unit cost (while making a profit), helped create an order form, fulfilled and delivered orders, collected money, made change, and so much more.

We even learned how to use an espresso machine! ☕️

Beyond the business side, this experience gives students the opportunity to practice real-world communication skills as they interact with middle school staff during deliveries.

Students are gaining valuable, hands-on skills through this small business, and we’re so proud of all their hard work

Last week was Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, but since we were on Spring Break, we made sure to celebrate a little late—because our team is always worth celebrating 💙

A huge shoutout to Mr. Garry, Miss Amelia, Miss Autumn, and Miss Carmen for everything they do each and every day. Their patience, dedication, humor, and heart make such a difference in the lives of our students. From supporting learning to building meaningful connections, they truly help make our program a place where everyone can thrive.

We are so lucky to have such an incredible team. Thank you for all that you do—you are appreciated more than words can say! 💫

🐣🌷 Happy Easter from our program! 🌷🐣

We had such a fun time celebrating together, especially during our annual Egg Knocking Competition, with our wonderful social worker, Mrs. Hill!🥚💥 There was lots of laughter, friendly competition, and big smiles all around.

We love creating traditions like this that bring everyone together and make lasting memories. Wishing all of our students, families, and community a joyful and relaxing Easter! 💛

Thursday our program had the opportunity to visit Quickly Boba Cafe, and it was such a great experience!

Many of our students stepped outside of their comfort zones and tried new drinks and snacks—and it was amazing to see how willing everyone was to give something new a chance. We love seeing that kind of growth!

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and patient with our group, which made the experience even better. Everything we tried was delicious, and there were so many fun options to choose from.

If you’re looking to try something new, we definitely recommend stopping by and checking them out. Thank you for having us—we can’t wait to come back!

Last week, we had a great end to the week in our program!

On Thursday, we visited the new Campfire Grill in Milan where students practiced community dining skills like ordering their food and tipping in real time.

On Friday, with our half day of school, we made breakfast together! Students helped cook waffles, sausage, and scrambled eggs, practicing kitchen skills and teamwork.

Real-life experiences like these help build independence and confidence every day! 🧇🍳
