With tonight’s performance in Mifflinburg’s Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony, the 2026 Season is officially under way! Members of the HS Chamber Choir started the day by performing for the New Berlin Memorial Day Ceremony, followed by the marching band and chamber choir members performing for Mifflinburg’s festivities.

Thank you to all in our community who come together to make this evening possible- we are honored to be part of such a rich tradition here in Mifflinburg!

In case you missed us last week… TONIGHT at 7 pm the MAHS Music Department takes the stage at the CommUnity Zone! The first set will feature MAHS Music Department Staff with The Frank Cloke Quintet featuring guest vocalist Becca Lipsky, followed by the MAHS Jazz Band kicking off our second set, followed by an open student/community jazz jam until 9 pm.

The performance will be in the Listening Room at the CommUnity Zone in downtown Lewisburg. $10 tickets at the door.

Over the last few days, MAHS Junior Sophie Z represented Mifflinburg at the PMEA All-State Conference, playing piccolo with the Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Kaitlyn Bove. The top student musicians from all across Pennsylvania gathered in the Poconos along with over 1,000 music educators across the. Congratulations to Sophie for her hard work earning her spot in such a competitive and prestigious festival!

Last week was the PMEA District 8 Jazz Festival, hosted at Berwick HS! MAHS student Cole H qualified via virtual audition to play drum set for the Jazz Band where he got to work with guest conductor Jon C. Gardner on his own compositions, including a premiere of a piece written for them DURING the festival! Congratulations to Cole on his accomplishment!
