The Union County 4-H Program is a community of young people, ages 5-18 (as of January 1), learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills under the supervision of screened volunteers. In Union County, there are 10 different clubs in which a member has the opportunity to join. It is recommended that a member choose to join one or two clubs. Each club has its own dynamics such as meeting place, fr
equency of meetings, and projects it offers. As part of the 4-H program requirements, a member must complete at least one 4-H project and keep a record of that project. There are over 200 projects and activities for a 4-H member to choose from. Although there are many projects, 4-H members are encouraged to pick a few projects, and do those projects well. Our younger members, ages 5-7, are called "Cloverbuds." There are specific projects designed for the Cloverbuds in mind. These projects are non-competitive, age-appropriate, safe, and short-term activities. The enrollment fee for members enrolled in the Union County 4-H Program is $20.00.
