🌟 Raiders on the Rise: Dereall Watson 🌟

Raised in Sacramento, California, Dereall Watson has always been supported by a strong village of family, friends, and mentors who encouraged him to pursue his purpose and education.

At Rose State, Dereall challenged himself, built meaningful connections, and discovered that he is capable of doing hard things—especially in the English and math classes he once found intimidating. This fall, he plans to transfer to pursue a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management with a minor in Marketing while continuing to gain experience in the logistics field.

When he's not focused on his academic and career goals, Dereall enjoys music and is helping rebuild a local band.

Meet Jasmine, a first-generation college student from Oklahoma, turning ambition into action! Jasmine is currently at Rose State College and plans to transfer to the University of Oklahoma to pursue mechanical engineering.

At RSC, Jasmine has found a supportive community that celebrates every win, big or small. She’s gaining hands-on experience through her internship with ZDEN, one of our Small Business Development Center incubator tenants, where she’s learning to approach engineering challenges like a pro—breaking complex problems into manageable parts and exploring multiple solutions.

Inspired by mentors and high-performing teams, Jasmine focuses on continuous growth and surrounding herself with people who challenge her to level up. Outside of academics, she enjoys hiking, connecting with others, and learning from different perspectives.

Her mindset says it all: “Pressure is a privilege.” And she’s using that pressure to rise.
