Even with school back in session, the learning doesn’t stop!
While our students are settling into a new school year, our educators and community partners are continuing to learn, grow, and strengthen their skills so they can best support the children and families we serve.
Earlier this month, four of our Mental Health Specialists attended Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner Training. TBRI equips professionals with practical, trauma-informed strategies to better understand the needs behind a student’s behavior, build trusting relationships, and respond in ways that promote connection, safety, and healing. This training will help our team bring even more quality, compassionate support to our students and families.
And over the last two days, a community team made up of members from our Mid-Del RESET Program, Leaha’s Hope, and Mid-Del Youth & Family has been attending TBRI for Professionals training - expanding the circle of people equipped to support our students and families across our community.
We’re especially grateful that this continued investment in training is possible thanks to a competitive $50,000 grant from the Oklahoma County Commissioners’ Office. This funding allows us to continue providing essential mental health training to educators, families, and community partners as we work together to strengthen the support systems surrounding our students.
Supporting student mental health is a community effort, and the more we learn, the better we can serve.

Independence Day is coming to Mid-Del!
Tomorrow, Friday, August 21, is the LAST DAY parents and guardians may walk their elementary students to class.
Then, on Monday, August 24, Independence Day begins! Our students will take a big step by walking to their classrooms independently, building confidence and responsibility along the way.
Don’t worry, our amazing staff will be throughout the building ready to welcome, supervise, and help students every step of the way.
We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with our students! Thank you, families, for helping us encourage confident, independent learners.
