Last week our HOSA team spent the day focused on what comes next at the 2026 PEAK Conference at Meridian Technology Center.

Keynote speaker Trae Rahill challenged students to become successful leaders by bringing two things they control every day: attitude and effort.

Throughout the conference, our HOSA students attended breakout sessions focused on entering the workforce, networking, professional presence and making lasting first impressions.

Experiences like PEAK give our students opportunities to grow as professionals, build connections and prepare to lead wherever their careers take them.

Big trucks. Heavy equipment. And a chance to get your hands dirty!

Today, MDTC joined Rock the Block, hosted by Dolese Bros. Co., where our team gave kids a hands-on introduction to masonry.

And that’s what makes events like this matter. It’s more than a fun Saturday activity, it’s an investment in what’s next!

A kid laying a brick today might be discovering a skill, a trade, or a career they never knew existed. Sometimes the first step toward a future career is simply getting the chance to try it.

Thank you Dolese Bros. Co. for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of this investment in the future workforce! We’re proud to be part of creating those opportunities.

Partnerships are a key part of Built For What’s Next here at MDTC. Some are long-standing relationships that continue to grow and help prepare our students for their futures, while others are newly established partnerships that bring even more opportunities to our programs.

Take Armstrong Plumbing, for example. Owner Dusty Armstrong understands firsthand the needs of the industry. When he learned about MDTC’s Plumbing Apprentice program, he knew he wanted to be part of helping our students become Built For What’s Next.

Thank you, Dusty, for taking time out of your day to speak with our class and invest in the next generation of skilled professionals!
