📣 **A New School Year Means New Reminders!**

As we get started on another exciting school year, we want to remind everyone of our district policies for attending school events. These guidelines help us keep our students, families, and staff safe while making sure everyone can enjoy our events! 💛🖤

🎫 **Student ID & Lanyard**
Students must be wearing their school-issued student ID **and lanyard** to attend school events.

👨‍👩‍👧 **Students Must Stay With Their Guardian**
Students attending events must be **accompanied by a parent/guardian and remain seated with their guardian** during the event.

👜 **Clear Bags Only**
Only **clear bags** are permitted at school events. Please plan ahead and leave non-clear bags at home.

💧 **Clear Water Bottles**
Guests may bring **clear water bottles**. Please do not bring opaque bottles or containers.

🛡️ **Weapon Detection System**
For everyone's safety, **all students, staff, and visitors will be required to walk through the weapon detection system** when entering the event.

We appreciate your help in following these expectations and doing your part to keep our school events **safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone!** 💛🖤

We are so excited to see all the amazing things our MCMS Dance Department has in store for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎶🖤💛

🌟 **UPCOMING DANCE DEPARTMENT EVENTS** 🌟

📅 **August 25**
Our **Honors 7th Graders, Ms. T, and Ms. Session** will be speaking and performing at the **Midwest City Arts Council**! 🎭✨

📅 **September 16 — After School**
Our **Honors 8th Graders** will be teaching the opening number for **The Holiday Show Spectacular**! 🎄💃

📸 **DANCE MEDIA DAY — SEPTEMBER 25**
Our dancers will have the opportunity to work with a **professional photographer** during their dance class for a special Media Day!

📷 The photography fee is **$20**.
➡️ **Only students who have signed up and paid will be photographed.**

👚 **What should dancers wear?**
Students are asked to wear **black, white, tan, or earth tones** for their photos.

👕 **DANCE DEPARTMENT SHIRTS — $10**
The Dance Department is also selling shirts to help raise money to support our dancers and their activities throughout the year!

Bombers, get ready to take center stage! Hollywood Howdy Week is August 17–21, and we’re rolling out the red carpet for a week full of fun, school spirit, and dress-up days!

🖤💛 Monday – Black & Gold Carpet
Kick off the week showing your Bomber pride! Wear black, gold, Bomber gear, jerseys, or school spirit wear.

📼 Tuesday – Throwback Tuesday
Take it back to your favorite decade! Rock a look inspired by the 70s, 80s, 90s, or Y2K.

⛳ Wednesday – Country Club Celebs
Hollywood goes preppy! Wear polos, khakis, tennis skirts, sweaters, golf attire, and your best country club look.

🤠 Thursday – Western Premiere
Lights, camera, cowboy! Break out the boots, denim, flannels, cowboy hats, and Western wear.

⭐ Friday – Famous Friday
Step into the spotlight! Dress as your favorite musician, inventor, actor/actress, athlete, or other famous figure.

🎉 Camp Bomber for 7th & 8th Grade is TOMORROW! 💛🖤

We can’t wait to welcome our 7th and 8th grade Bomber families tomorrow from 5:30–8:00 PM!

📍 Location: 6th Grade Center
🚪 Entrance: Please enter through the east side doors of the 6th Grade Center.

🚗 Parking Tip: For the shortest walk, park in the east side parking lot.

📋 Enrollment Reminder: If you have not completed Phase 2 of enrollment, please bring one current utility bill with you or email it to [email protected] before arriving.

🍴 Come hungry! Unknown Unlimited and C & M Eatery will be on site serving up delicious food throughout the evening.
