I’m a flight instructor who brings real-world flying experience directly into training. Most recently, I’ve completed long cross-country trips originating from and returning to Arkansas, including flying to Dawson City, Yukon, a multi-state trip to the Grand Canyon and back, and a trip out to Cape Cod that included flying the New York City corridor. These flights required real decision-making—weather evaluation, fuel planning, terrain considerations, complex airspace navigation, and adapting to changing conditions—which is exactly what I integrate into my instruction.
I don’t just teach to the checkride—I teach people how to actually operate an aircraft confidently outside the local practice area. My focus is on real-world flying: cross-country planning, navigating complex airspace, communicating in busy environments, and making sound go/no-go decisions.
I also work with pilots who may no longer hold a medical but still have strong aviation goals. Whether that means flying under BasicMed or simply flying with a qualified pilot onboard, I can act as a safety pilot and instructor—helping manage radio communications, avionics, navigation, and overall workload so you can continue to safely enjoy flying.
If you have destinations on your bucket list, I can help you get there. From pre-flight planning to in-flight decision-making, I’ll work alongside you in your aircraft to make those trips both achievable and safe.
My goal is simple: help you become confident, capable, and comfortable in real-world flying—whether you’re just starting out or getting back into the air.
If you’re looking for practical, experience-driven instruction that goes beyond the basics, I’d love to work with you.
