We are excited about this option for Liberty County!

Our recent Stakeholders Meeting was a tremendous success and provided an incredible opportunity to engage with school board members, community leaders, educators, and community partners as we continue working through the charter school process and building support for an additional tuition-free public school option for the students and families of Liberty County.

A special thank you to Gregg Stevens, Founder and Managing Partner of 21Cobalt, for sharing his expertise, guidance, and valuable insight with our stakeholders. We are incredibly grateful to Gregg and the entire 21Cobalt team for their continued support throughout this important journey.

We would also like to recognize the Dream Big STEM Academy Implementation Board for your dedication, preparation, and professionalism. Your commitment continues to move this vision forward.

Open Enrollment: 2026–2027 Think Big Youth Program

Think Big is opening enrollment interest for young people ages 14–18 who are ready to grow, learn, build new skills, and prepare for their future.

Our 2026–2027 program brings together a range of opportunities designed to support the whole young person, including:

• Mentorship Coaching
• Character Development
• Workforce Development
• Academic Support
• Life & Career Skills
• XCEL Trade Skills & Employability Training

Through mentorship, young people can connect with caring adults who provide encouragement, guidance, and support. Through our other initiatives, they can strengthen their academic skills, develop character, explore career paths, and gain practical skills for the workforce.

We’re especially excited to introduce XCEL, our new hands-on initiative focused on trade skills and employability. Coastal Electric is sponsoring our XCEL mobile training trailer through a grant that made its purchase possible, helping us bring hands-on training opportunities directly to young people in our community.

Every student deserves to be known, supported, challenged, and inspired. Dream Big STEM Academy is being created to give students an educational experience that goes beyond memorizing information. Our model combines rigorous academics, STEM, creativity, innovation, character development, and real-world learning to help students discover what they’re capable of.

Students will investigate meaningful questions, design solutions, express their ideas, collaborate with others, and put their learning into action.

Our goal is to prepare the next generation with the knowledge, confidence, resilience, and leadership skills they need to thrive in college, careers, military service, entrepreneurship, and community life.

This is where big ideas begin. Follow Dream Big STEM Academy and stay tuned as we build something special for Liberty County and its families!
