Many people may think that getting your black belt is a "completion" of your journey, but it truly is the beginning of something much greater.

We'd like to congratulate our newest 2nd degree black belts! Along with many others testing for a variety of ranks, they tested hard today and showed what it means to Yoshukai- Strive for Excellence.

Mr. James and Miss Emily are a critical part of our dojo and the instruction of our students. Their hard work and dedication is greatly appreciated by all of our students and is the reason why we all are celebrating today with them for their latest accomplishments.

SUMMER CLOSURE INFORMATION

May 25th- no class, Memorial Day

Summer break (no class):
June 7-13th
June 28th-July 6th

June is a half month, the front office should only be charging you $25 per student. Be sure to pay by June 5th to avoid their late payment fee.

Availability to respond to calls and texts during the June dates may be limited as I will be working a youth wilderness camp. Please leave a message and send a text and I will get back to you when I can.

We are in the process of porting our phone number to another network provider.

During this time our number may not be functional and we may not receive your calls or messages. This could potentially take up to 3 days to complete. Please be patient with us during this time!

Class times:
New students are Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30pm (Must register with LCRD prior to participating)

Mondays:
5:30-615- White Belts
6:30-715- Yellow Belts
6:50-7:35- Transition class
7:15-8:00- Green Belts

Wednesdays-
5:30-7:30- Brown Belts
6:30-8:30- Black Belts

Thursdays:
5:30-6:45- Beginners and Littles
7:15-8:30- Taller Class

Classes are $50 per month paid to Liberty County Rec Department at the Midway Community Complex in Midway, GA. Uniforms and additional gear purchases are handled by Sensei, see her for details.

Good evening all!

I am keeping an eye on the weather for tomorrow. I know the kids are off of school but I still intend to have practice as long as the weather doesn't get too nasty.

Please check here for any closure information.

Additionally, our students come from all over, if you feel it is not safe, do not come! Weather conditions can vary widely in our area.

Liberty County Schools has moved to virtual classes for tomorrow, Monday February 2, 2026. When it comes to weather, if the schools close we do not have practice. Therefore, we will not have practice tomorrow evening.

Students:
While we may not have practice, students should work for at least 45 minutes (your normal class time for Mondays) on basics and Kata. Don't forget, our next test is being held February 21st!!
