This morning, Tomahawk Creek Middle School held a beautiful ribbon cutting ceremony for our new memorial garden dedicated to the memories of Mrs. Sherri Young and Mrs. Davilee Kadrlik. 💙
This special space was created to honor two extraordinary educators whose kindness, compassion, and dedication left a lasting impact on our students, staff, and TCMS community. While their loss continues to be deeply felt, this garden now stands as a place of peace, reflection, remembrance, and love.
What makes this memorial even more meaningful is the incredible community support that brought it to life. Thank you to Woods Tree Farm, Watkins Nursery, Josh Goff and Commonwealth Curb Appeal, Mrs. Virginia Joyner, Mrs. Susan Carraway and her ASE group, and all of the TCMS staff, students, and families who contributed through donations, Pink Out basketball games, and Spirit Week efforts.
Because of this community’s generosity and heart, something truly beautiful and lasting was created from love and remembrance. 🌸
May this garden continue to honor Mrs. Young and Mrs. Kadrlik and serve as a reminder of the care, positivity, and compassion they shared with everyone around them.

🎉 Congratulations to Charlotte Mashburn on her retirement! 🎉
Charlotte Mashburn, NBCT, has dedicated 27 years to education, including 22 years as a librarian, and has been part of the Tomahawk Creek family since opening our doors in 2008.
Charlotte holds a Master’s degree in teaching with a middle school (4–8) endorsement and a K–12 Library Media endorsement. She has also been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2012. Throughout her career, she has inspired countless students and staff through her passion for literacy, collaboration, and learning. She loves partnering with classroom teachers to create engaging lessons and co-leads the Teachers Are Readers group, a voluntary professional development program where educators come together to read and discuss middle school novels.
Outside of school, Charlotte is a true country girl at heart. She enjoys spending time on the farm with her quarter horse, working in her garden, and even completed an Ironman Triathlon in 2008 — an incredible accomplishment that reflects her dedication and determination in all aspects of life.
Thank you, Charlotte, for your years of service, leadership, and the lasting impact you have made on our Timberwolf community. Wishing you all the best in this exciting new chapter!! 💙

Tonight was a special night at Tomahawk Creek as we hosted our very first concert featuring all three grade level bands together! From our newest musicians to our most experienced performers, the talent, growth, and dedication on stage were incredible to watch.
The perfect ending to the evening was one of our favorite TCMS traditions — welcoming alumni back to the stage to perform the final piece alongside our current students. Seeing past and present Timberwolves making music together was such a powerful reminder of the lasting impact of our band director, Mrs. Slagle!
