Ms. Johnsons’s Public Speaking and Debate class had their final debate today with special guest Mr.Paranto, a member of our CCPS School Board. The students did a fantastic job and we are all so proud of each and every one of you!! Way to go Wolves!!

Another beautiful orchestra concert from each of our grade levels. Thank you, Mrs. Barone and orchestra students, for all your hard work and dedication this school year. Eighth grade deserves a double acknowledgment as this was their last concert at TCMS. Once a timberwolf, always a timberwolf.

Our 6th and 7th grade band students sure did kick off our week of concerts here at TCMS! What a performance by all students. Way to go Wolves!!

The TCMS Library would like to thank the TCMS PTA and TCMS Community for supporting the Backpacks of Love Fundraiser in honor of author Lisa Fipps and the real life Joe Oaks in our community. Our school community raised $279.25 for Backpacks of Love, a local charity that works to end food insecurity among children in our community. During our virtual author visit this morning, we presented Ms. Fipps with a symbolic check of funds raised, and she was truly touched by the generosity of our students in school community thank you to all that participated!

Tonight we got to celebrate two of our amazing retirees! These two science teachers have been dedicated to Tomahawk Creek students since we opened the doors in 2008. Congratulations to Ms. Johnston and Ms. Wilkerson on your upcoming retirement…we are so proud to call you Timberwolves! **Also retiring and not pictured, School Counselor, Mrs. Blackwell, English teacher, Mrs. Parsons, and math teacher, Mrs. Whitley. Congratulations to all of our retirees!

We have known she is dedicated to our Tomahawk family, and now she is being recognized for her amazing collaboration with our community! Our very own principal has been recognized as a PTA Power Partner Principal for the state of Virginia!!

Mrs. Thompson, we are so incredibly proud of you. You work tirelessly in a sometimes thankless position. We want you to know how much we appreciate everything you do to support us everyday. It does not go unnoticed.

What a great day to be a Timberwolf as we welcomed our rising 6th grade students today for a tour of our school. They enjoyed some music from our orchestra, band, and chorus ensembles. Can't wait to see you in the halls next fall!

Bravo! Bueno! Sehr Gut! Bon! What an amazing International Night this evening at TCMS! More than 25 countries were represented as students, and their families learned, created, tasted, and listened about countries around the world. Huge shout out to our World Language teachers for a wonderful community event.

Way to go Timberwolves!! Our Unified Basketball Team got their first “W” this afternoon in front of an awesome crowd! It was such a great afternoon full of inclusion, school spirit, and sportsmanship!! 🏀

Congratulations to Nurse Stutzman for being a Game Changer and to Troy McLean for earning a Citizenship Award! We are proud to call you both Timberwolves!!

Want to try the fastest growing Boys High School sport in the US? Come learn the sport of volleyball at our Boys Volleyball Intramural on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting March 2nd from 3:14-4:45. Clover Hill, Midlothian and Cosby have all won State Championships in Boys Volleyball over the years so our hope is to help them continue their successful programs. All participants must have an intramural and concussion form on file to participate. See Mr. Forbes in room 701 for more information!

We are excited about bringing back a TCMS tradition, Pi-Day!
You know, 3.14. March 14th (3/14) is Pi-day and here at TCMS we celebrate our inner nerd. We have Pi-day t-shirts for sale too. The small profit will go to our Math Department. Here is a link and QR code to the online store.

Congratulations to our PTA Reflections winners!!

We had our first Unified Basketball practice this week. We are so excited to have 3 home basketball games this year! Go Wolves!

Congrats to our Timberwolves for winning their semi final tonight! It was a very exciting game but they managed to hold off Midlothian with the score of 44-41!! They will play in the County Final game on Wednesday at 7pm at Thomas Dale HS!! Go Wolves!! 🏀

Seventh graders Haley Slagle won 1st place and Eliza Greene won 3rd place in Preservation Virginia Historic Places Art Contest this past month. Their work is currently being displayed on Preservation Virginias webpage. Congratulations!
