Deanna Lariz is an accomplished pianist, singer/songwriter, and owner of NotJustPiano Studio in Midlothian Texas. Her students and bands have received several awards in district and national competitions. Deanna created her studio NotJustPiano to not only teach the basics
of piano but aspires to teach a holistic view of Music. Her program was formulated to first teach that music is a wonderful gift, given and created by God. Deanna believes that music is meant to inspire and open our hearts to the beauty of what is around and within us. Alongside an appreciation for all styles of music within her studio, you will learn to play by ear, learn the musical time periods, be able to recognize the world's most influential pianist, learn to play chords, write and perfect your own songs, and much, much more. Deanna started playing prophetic piano by ear at the age of 4. She received her first keyboard for Christmas and could not take her hands off it. She soon began to compose her own piano pieces and songs. She recorded her first of many albums at age 14. Her latest worship album “LoveSongs In The Storm” was released in 2016. Her worship leading career started at the age of 13. She has led worship and coached many worship bands in several churches across the United States. Deanna’s influence has led to her being featured as one of Ellis County's top young business owner recipients. And to be featured in two magazines, “Midlothian Now” and “Shine” magazine! Deanna has a BA Sociology/Psychology from University of North Texas and MA Music Education from Tarleton State University. Deanna’s passion is to not just teach piano, but to pass along to her students the gratification, understanding, and importance of worship, for an all-powerful and loving God, who loves to hear our talents. She believes her mission is to not only worship God but to train young people how to discover God's presence through the avenue of their giftings.
