"Compassionate Consequences: Behavior Guidance & Accountability in the Muslim Classroom"

Reach and teach: https://www.letsreachandteach.com/

Overview: Today’s workshop helps educators rethink discipline with a focus on accountability, dignity, and growth. Participants develop a clear understanding of what consequences are, how they differ from punishment, and why they are essential for meaningful learning and responsibility. We will explore and practice the 5C5R framework for designing and delivering consequences. We will understand the role of natural and logical consequences, the importance of alignment and proportionality, and the impact of timing, consistency, and follow-through. The session focuses on how to design consequences that teach rather than shame, how to deliver them calmly and clearly, and how to avoid punitive or reactive responses that undermine trust.
