Salisbury Presbyterian Preschool

Salisbury Preschool is a part-time Christian based preschool, where values and principles are shared

Salisbury Preschool provides a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning across all developmental disciplines. We provide a well structured play-based environment that is designed to promote not only cognitive development but also give children an opportunity to learn to deal with their emotions, interact with others, solve conflicts, and develop their imagination and creativity.

We celebrated Teacher Appreciation this past week. Heather and I are so proud of SPP's staff. The commitment and love they share with the children and families we serve is second to none.

Thank you to our families for their generous acts of appreciation they shared with this remarkable group of individuals. ♥️

Thank you to the firefighters from Chesterfield Fire and EMS' Station #5 for visiting last week to help us learn about fire safety and prevention and again this week when we had a gas leak. We also want to thank Officer David Dietrich from the Chesterfield County Police Department for stopping by last Thursday to talk with us about all the things police officers do in our community to keep us safe. We're so grateful for these heroes!

Next week we will have individuals from First Priority Occupational Therapy and The Speech Path here at SPP to provide screenings. If you have wondered about your child's articulation, communication, or their receptive language, a speech screening may help identify or answer your questions.

You may want to consider an occupational therapy screening if you have concerns related to self-regulation, emotional awareness, sensory interpretation and processing, attention and focus, transitions, fine and gross motor skills, visual motor and perceptual skills, and/or functional play skills.

Marie sent the screening registration form via email yesterday. Please review the and return the form along with the fee by this Friday, September 15th. If you choose not to participate at this time, please know you will have the opportunity to sign up for a screening at any point throughout the school year.

SPP does not benefit financially from your participation. However, we had, and continue to have, many of our students benefit from their incredible work during these important developmental years.

Feel free to reach out to your child's teacher if you are wondering if they feel your child could benefit from being screened.
