Senator Pekarsky’s SB 1031 threatens religious freedom by eliminating the homeschooling exemption for faith-based families. This bill would force parents to jump through unnecessary hoops to educate their children according to their beliefs.

“I returned to homeschooling again in 2020 when schools were shut down. The freedom of homeschool has allowed me the opportunity to pursue a faith-based education while giving me the free time to explore other interests, such as Bible study, fitness, and construction. I will also be serving again this summer with Jungle Aviation and Relay Service (JAARS) and in the Dominican Republic. Post-graduation I’m looking forward to starting my career in the electrical field, either as an electrician or a linesman. My favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, as it reminds me that I’m weak without God, but with him I’m able to do His will.” 👏🏼⚓️💙
