Does your child want to perform with the BSO? We need your help!

The BSO is creating a virtual orchestra performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture to celebrate the 4th of July. No performance of the Overture is complete though without cannon sounds, and that’s why we need your help! Grab your phone and a paper bag or a balloon and get ready to join the BSO in this exciting project.

Deadline for Submission: Sunday, June 28, 2020

Needed items:
· Smartphone to record
· Paper bag or balloon

Paper Bag Steps:
1. Give your child the paper bag.
2. Grab your smartphone, open the camera app, and hold your smartphone horizontally.
3. Start recording and focus the video on your child.
4. Have your child blow up the paper bag full of air and seal off the top of the bag with their hand (or you can do this for them before you start recording).
5. Then, they should clap the bag together between their hands so it pops making a loud sound.
6. Stop recording.
7. Visit https://bit.ly/3cYecTy and upload the video.

Balloon Steps:
1. Blow up the balloon and tie it off
2. Give your child the balloon.
3. Grab your smartphone, open the camera app, and hold your smartphone horizontally.
4. Start recording and focus the video on your child.
5. Have your child slowly push on the balloon until it pops making a loud noise.
6. Stop recording.
7. Visit https://bit.ly/3cYecTy and upload the video.
