Each year the VHSL awards the National Guard Cup to the school in each class that won the most points in state level competition for academic activities across the entirety of the season.

State level academic competition includes Drama, Speech, Debate, Literary Magazine, Yearbook, Broadcast News, Newspaper, Robotics, Scholastic Bowl, and Film Festival.

Manchester High School is this year’s Class 6 National Guard Cup winner!


Congratulations to Manchester HS German teacher, Tessa Wilkey. She was honored at the school board meeting tonight with the Jane Baskerville Excellence in Teaching Award. Ausgezeichnet!

We are so pleased to announce that the new Head Coach of the Manchester High School program is Jason Harrell!

Congratulations to Jason Harrell as he was named the new Head Football Coach at Manchester! Harrell was the Lancers Defensive Coordinator for several years. Hear from him tonight at 6 on !


Attention Lancer Families! Please join us tomorrow night for parent scheduling night. Students are also welcome. This is for all families of Manchester High School students from rising ninth graders to rising seniors. Join us in the auditorium at 5 PM for an overview of the scheduling process, graduation requirements, etc. At 6 PM, you will be able to meet with teachers of different electives, representatives from Brightpoint Community College, as well as representatives from the Chesterfield Technical Center.


Manchester is in need of some instructional assistants to work with our students who gave special needs. It is a great job for a young person just starting out, or a person taking classes toward becoming a teacher. If you know of someone who might be interested, please send them our way!

We are so proud of our Bravo! Award winner, Dr. William Collins. Dr. Collins is a professor of engineering at University of Kansas. He studies fracture mechanics, which helps to protect our infrastructure by selecting the best designs and materials to help structures last and not degrade and break in ways that would be dangerous. He is an excellent example of a life-long learner!

We are pleased to announce that we now have an official graduation date for the Manchester High School Class of 2024: We will graduate at the VCU Siegel Center on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.

Thank you to the Mega Mentors organization for naming Manchester High School their school of the year and donating a check for $5000 to our school! We appreciate all that Mega Mentors does to help students to grow their confidence and networking skills to make attainable plans for their futures.

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Underclassmen students will be taking their pictures tomorrow (9/28) and Friday (9/29) during their English classes. Students who are not enrolled in any English class this year must come to the auditorium during Lancer Time (9:25am-9:55am) to take their photo.

Order forms have been given to students through their English teachers.

The school code for ordering your student’s portrait online at is FM428546.

Orders placed more than five days after picture day may incur a late fee, so please visit after Friday (9/29).

If you are paying by cash or check, please fill out the order form and send your student to school with the completed payment envelope. Students will give their payment to the photographer when they sit for their photo. Underclassmen make-up photos will take place on November 16, 2023. This past weekend, our JROTC participated in putting together the Dog Tag Flag at Brandermill Country Club. We had a great time connecting with members of the Veterans and Athletes United as well as members from the American Legion.
