✨ It’s Never Too Late to Start Ballet! 🩰

Does your child love to dance, dream of being on stage, or simply want to try something new?

Our Youth Ballet Program is designed for dancers ages 7–12, including those who are completely new to ballet. They’ll receive excellent classical ballet training while having the flexibility to attend once or twice a week — making it easier for families to find a schedule that works.

And something extra special… Youth dancers have the opportunity to perform in our Nutcracker! 🎄✨

Imagine your child taking their very first ballet class and then stepping onto the stage in one of Richmond’s favorite holiday traditions. These are the moments and memories that stay with families for years. ❤️

• 4:30–5:30 PM — Optional B1/2 Jazz with Ms. Celina
• 5:30–6:30 PM — Ballet with Ms. Patty

Thursdays
• 4:45–5:45 PM — Optional Beginning Contemporary with Ms. Amelia
• 5:45–6:45 PM — Ballet with Ms. Celina

Saturdays
• 11:30 AM–12:30 PM — Ballet with Ms. Allison

Ballet 2 Youth (B2Y) — Geared for ages 8–9

Mondays
• 6:00–7:00 PM — Ballet with Ms. Patty

Ballet 3 Youth (B3Y) — Geared for ages 9–10

Tuesdays
• 4:30–5:30 PM — Ballet with Ms. Patty

Ballet is back in the ‘Burgh! This weekend, the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre officially kicks off their new season after a 20-month hiatus. This photo from the Detre Library & Archives shows the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre company performing “Swan Lake,” sometime between 1969 and 1980.

The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre had its premiere performance in November of 1969 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse before their spring season opened at the Craft Avenue Theater in Oakland in April 1970. The company performed at Heinz Hall until 1987, when they moved to the newly restored Benedum Center for the Performing Arts.
